I worked
as a lab technician doing cancer research for seventeen years before being laid
off and sort of "early retirement." I started watching John Edward on TV and it
has changed my life. I have started reading and all kinds of amazing things
have been happening to me. I've had two pre-cognitive dreams. I dreamed about
that bridge collapse in Oklahoma two weeks before it happened. I even told my
wife when I dreamed it, and I also dreamed about that crash of the China Air Jet
two weeks before that happened. My wife and I have also started experiencing
some telepathy between each other that we never experienced before. If you are
interested I can tell you some more "psi" things that have been happening to me.

Eighteen years?

No
sadness and/or grief feelings
Degree of alertness immediately prior to experience:
Fully
alert

Wonderful
Have you had multiple experiences?
Yes I've had one very important one and several lesser "contacts."

this experience difficult to express in words?
No
Did
you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing,
hearing, feeling or smelling them?
No
Did
you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?
No
Did
you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the
deceased?
No
Did
you see the deceased?
No
How
do you currently view the reality of your experience?
Experience was
definitely real
Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real
or not real:
Because I saw a
lamp turn itself on and off right in front of my eyes right after I read about a
similar experience in Dr. Louis LeGrand's book "After Death Communications."
When I read about the woman's experience, I was skeptical. But when I saw it
happen, I knew what it was, because there wasn't any other explanation. It was
the timing that was amazing. And, the lamp had never done that before and
hasn't done it since. I think it was my father because he has been coming to
me in my dreams.
Was the experience dream like in any way?
No
I saw
a lamp turn itself on and off. It wasn't broken, the bulb was not burned out,
and it had never done that before and hasn't done it since.
Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:
Wonderment, amazement, curious, perplexed.
Was
there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?
Yes
Maybe
some, it was good to know that my father is around me and can still participate
in the physical aspects of my life.
What
was the best and worst part of your experience?
The best was
that it happened and I knew what it was, the worst is that I don't know if when
I'm sharing it with people whether they will believe me or not.
What other
attitudes and beliefs about your experience do you currently have?
Life-changing, Joy
I felt honored to be so chosen to participate in such a spiritual experience.
Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes
I was
all ready pretty much a believer in life after death, spiritual communication,
ADC's, and NDE's but having it happen to me strengthened my belief that this
life is not all there is.
Did
the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death,
afterlife, God, etc.?
Yes
For
one thing I learned that it was entirely possible for those on the other side to
work or use electrical things to contact us. Prior to the experience I had only
read about such things, but had never experienced them first hand. It is an
amazing thing to see a lamp turn itself on and off right in front of your
eyes. The lamp is the kind that you touch to turn on, and it has three
settings, low-med-high. So whoever had turned it on had "touched" it three
times to set it on high. And while I was standing in the door I watched the
lamp click off. There was NO lightning outside and it was a perfectly normal
day. The lamp had never done this before and it hasn't done it since.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
Happy, good,
wonderment, joyful, hopeful. As soon as I figured out what was going on it gave
me a good feeling.
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
Yes
My
wife and I have been experiencing periods of telepathy. Some of them quite
amazing. I have even known when she is going to walk into a room and tell me
something.
Did
you see a light?
No
Only
the lamp that had turned itself on!!!!
Have
you shared this experience with others?
Yes
I
have shared this story on the near-death.com message board. They seemed to like
to hear about the many paranormal things that have started happening to me. I
don't know what is going on but in the last year I have started having dreams of
my deceased parents and having psychic and pre-cognitive dreams happen to me.
Have
you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or
web site?
No
I
have posted it on the near-death.com website message board.
Is
there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?
I think
that about sums it up.
Were there any
associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
I do
not smoke, drink, or do any drugs.
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did
you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or
other spiritual event?
Yes
I
have raised homing pigeons for years. I often watch them while they fly. One
time I was walking home from high school and I remember for a brief moment
having this OBE, as I was looking out over a valley, that I was "flying" all
around that valley. It only lasted a second and then it was over. It has only
happened that one time.
Did
the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively
describe your experience?
Yes
