Experience description:

I had a wrestling tournament the next day, so I went to bed early.  I was very frustrated because I couldn't sleep- and that was very unusual for me.  I was tossing and turning for about 6 - 8 hours.  At about 2:00 or 3:00 am, as I was walking back from the kitchen into the living room, I noticed a strange glowing haze.  I thought to myself, " isn't that unusual, and a bit strange".  It looked much like a glowing and ever moving cloud of light.  (Really, one of the weirdest things is my reaction to seeing this- I had absolutely no fear, and was extremely inquisitive.) Walking around to every window, I shut every shade thinking it may be coming from the moon.  However the object was still present.  I remember standing in front of it for many minutes engaged in the fascination of it.  I was perhaps a foot or three away from it.  I do not remember touching it.  I do remember how beautiful it was.

It dissipated, and I walked back into my bed and immediately fell asleep.  The next morning, I woke up at about 6:00 am to take a shower.  I remember feeling quite agitated because I didn't get enough sleep.  Suddenly I remembered what had happened to me, and I jumped out of the shower, put clothing on quickly and ran to tell my mother.  The telephone was ringing, and knew what had happened.  I put my hand on the telephone and told her that that was Grandmother, and "something happened to Grandfather last night".- And it was right on the money.  My Grandfather had passed away in his sleep at about the time I saw the cloud of light.  He lived about 2000 miles away, and nobody had any indication that this would happen to him at that time.  He had been old and frail after his stroke for the past several years.  That experience has lead me down a much more spiritual path

Was this experience difficult to express in words?

Yes, Unusual the way I reacted when around the moving cloud of light.  I wasn't frightened. I think there was some real unconscious communication taking place, because I just stood in front of it for several minutes.
