The day my Mom passed in my house, the funeral directors had already taken her body and I was sitting in a room with one large mirror on the wall. I was crying and I looked into the mirror and looked behind me in the mirror and there was a woman walking fast behind me. She had dark hair to her shoulders and white blouse with no sleeves. I did not recognize her. Also, 4 days after my Mom passed, I awoke at 4:00 am, staring at the ceiling/wall, just thinking of my Mom, when a white mist appeared and then a 3 foot lighted Angel, like Christmas lights outlining the angel, which was so bright and twinkling, then to the right of the Angel was some double lines like for my eyes to follow them and a lighted Dove appeared. I am not sure but may this lasted for a minute, then vanished. I truly feel this was my Mom either thanking me for taking care of her or it was her guardian angel telling me she was okay. I will never forget this experience. I also a few months later heard her whisper my name and my TV was on in my bedroom, with my two little dogs with me and they even jerked their head to the room next to mine where she had passed.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?            Yes

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          Yes

            Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:    As I said, later after My Mom's passing, I heard her whisper my name.

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?  externally.

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           NO.

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   No. I am a court reporter. I am trained to hear very well.

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            Yes

About an hour after my Mom passed, I was talking to her and she raised one eye open as if to give me a wink, like everything is fine.

Did you see the deceased?         No

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           I was totally awake, just lying in bed, thinking of my Mother and where did she go.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           I was in awe. Just staring. Did not take my eyes off of the Angel and Dove.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Yes

I am not afraid to die. There is life after death.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      It was so beautiful but I wished it would have lasted longer, obviously.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes                 Describe:      I am not afraid to die. I want to work with the dying, like Hospice. I like talking about my experience with other people.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Believe in the afterlife. That is when I started googling after death experiences.

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?            Yes     Afterlife and I have to this day visit after-death.com.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?        Yes

Before my Mom passed, I asked my Mom for three butterflies as signs from her. When I went to Church three days following her passing, I went to a church I had not been to before and in each corner of the church wall/ceiling were 3 huge paper mache butterflies as a set in the corners of the walls, on each side, 3 each.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Ecstatic, overwhelmingly so happy, I wanted to tell the world.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes

I saw a butterfly outside on my house and I just knew it was Mom. I told the butterly: I love you Mom. And right then the butterfly landed on my cheek and I felt a human kiss and the butterfly flew away, circling around me as it left.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?            No

Did you see a light?           Yes

Many lights surrounding the angel and dove.

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?            No

 Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?       My son has had an out of body experience and my sister was with my mom a month before she passed and witnessed many spirits in the room and heard a voice talking to my mother in my mother's ear.
