I heard Marie speak to me.  It was like a thought in my own head, but it was clearly Marie.  She said, "aww, honey, I love you", like she had spoken to me many times while she was alive.  I answered her, " I love you too, Marie".  She said, "I need you to do me a favor".  I felt certain that she would give me a message of love for her daughter or something along those lines.  I said, "Sure, Marie, what is it?"  She then said, "I want you to get off Jill's back about Mark."  Jill is Marie's daughter and Mark is Jill's long distance boyfriend.  Jill is my age.  Marie then went on, "Jill grew up with love in her life, Mark didn't.  He was an unwanted child, and not shown love like Jill was, and if anybody can teach him how to love, it's Jill."  I was surprised at Marie's request, but after considering the news Marie had given me, things made sense where Mark is concerned.

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            No

Did you see the deceased?         No

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

How long did the experience last?        about 30 seconds

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         it was like a friend dropping over for a quick hello.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

she sounded happy, much like herself when she was living.

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  yes.  she helped me to understand Mark's actions better and things made sense now.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           I know Marie was speaking to me.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No     

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           I was glad that Marie came to speak to me, and so happy that she gave me an explanation for Jill's boyfriend. It made me see him in a new light.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           No

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      the best part was hearing from Marie. There was no worst part.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         No      

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            I was delighted to have spoken with Marie.  I stopped vacuuming to call Jill and tell her.

Have you shared this experience with others?        

Yes     I spoke with Jill ,and told her exactly what her mother said, and now things made more sense to her as well.

Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.    this could be shorter, I almost gave up and deleted it all feeling like I am being interrogated.  I don't believe that this experience is unique and others might be more willing to share theirs if the initial discussion were shorter.
