Experience description:  

These are synchronistic events relating to Light.

A few hours before his totally unexpected death my husband and I were talking about the healing quality of the golden light ( lumiere dorée ). The doctor who called me at 1am to tell me of his passing away,  introduced himself as Dr. Doré. Phil died on December 8th 2011, day of light in the city of Lyon. Phil wanted us to go next year, he much talked about it lately.  During the whole ceremony, a very bright floor light flashed behind me, seen by 4 people. Back home that evening, his blackberry froze on a blank bright page, we could not turn it off, we had to take the battery out to stop it. All present- 3 of us- saw it.

I got a phone call on the 14th at 12.30. A far away out worldly masculine voice asked to talk to Jean Michel Lumière (light) I checked over the internet, there is no such person in the phone book in France.  After I had put the phone down it dawned on me this was a message passed on to me from Philippe.

A few days ago a friend of ours was reminding me of the first time we met. Phil and I were telling him of a movie we had just seen and really enjoyed, he then went on to add that the day Philippe was operated on in emergency, his wife brought the DVD of that movie home.

Another friend reported to me that a porch light at her house which had not been working for ages and could not be fixed was again shining bright and light. This friend was one of 3 friends ( who all have to report occurrences of light phenomena to various degrees)  who had held wake with me over Philippe the night of his departing. 

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?            Yes

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          No

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            No

Did you see the deceased?         No

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

How long did the experience last?        during the ceremony : 30 minutes the blackberry : 10mn till we managed to remove the battery

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           these are facts witnessed by many

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

What did you feel (while awake) immediately prior to your experience?         Suicidal                               

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           We were brutally torn apart. I take these signs as reassurances that Phil is feeling Ok, it was a way of saying " goodbye and

 I love you, I'm still next to you" and I felt his protection and knew he was in the light.   

What other attitudes and beliefs about your experience do you currently have?       
             
We know nothing, it's a deep mystery. We can only witness and keep an open mind and heart     

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?             I once asked him to contact me were he first to go, but it was in a half kidding way while we were driving somewhere. I seem to remember he didn't answer. Phil loved life and was a bit scared of death.

 The only event I cannot verify is the December 14th phone call. I do not know who phoned and from where. I was very perturbed and asked no question. It's only once I had hung up that I realized the meaning and importance of that call. The message reached me then.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            It doesn't alleviate the pain, my heart is deeply wounded, I feel the loss and I go thru shallow lows and deep lows but I am convinced that he is in the light and not experiencing hardship like described in the Tibetan book of the dead

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?           Yes

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   No

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    No

Did you become aware of future events?       No

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No

Did you see a light?           Yes

It's all about light, either real light or names meaning or pertaining to " light"

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     No problem, it is perfectly acceptable by all

Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?   No

Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?            No

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No 

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?           Yes 

I experienced synchronistic events a few times in the course of my Jungian analysis
