EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

I have written previously about doorbells ringing in my house after My Love died. I am convinced that he rings the back (working) bell to say hello.  But when I am in dire need of help and guidance, he will ring the front (Broken) door bell as to convince the skeptic in me Yes I am really here and am watching over you and our son.

Brandon was diagnosed with Autism the Summer of 2010, 6 months after Paul's death.  Being human I often wonder if He would agree with my parenting since all this came about.  Asperger's syndrome causes swings in moods, combined with teenage angst and the death of his father at age 11. It has been difficult to say the least.

I saw a psychic for the 2nd time when Brandon and I were vacationing in Shenandoah Valley.  Visiting the caverns for the most part we decided to hit the city of Harrisburg VA. While taking the walking tour of historic Harrisburg I began to cut through a street to get to the other part of the walking tour.

Realizing that I should go the other way I came across a palm reader.  I passed with no intention of going inside yet I came back and thought what the heck its 10 bucks for entertainment purposes.  The door was locked and I began to leave when she answered the door.

I can reason the most of what she said could be said to anyone, yet for the most part if was quite a good fit for my personality and questions that rang through my mind at the time.

She said that I had abilities too.  Though I get feelings/intuitions I scoffed this off, especially when she spoke of a third eye. Not actually knowing about this 3rd eye I said what do you mean?  She got angry and said "You know what I mean!"

Again with logic kicking in I merely listened to her trying not to give clues. She asked if I ever feel Paul's presence.  I admitted that I did and asked if tingling fingertips was part of that sensation.  She said yes and asked if I felt him there now.  I said yes and held my hands out and my fingertips were indeed tingling at that time.

I had been worrying excessively about my sons mood swings, wondering if I were doing all that I could as a parent, If Paul would agree with what I was doing, trying to raise our child alone.  You see Brandon was diagnosed with Attention Deficit for most of his school years.  Paul found this diagnosis difficult to accept thinking of his nephew that was hyper and that Brandon did not act as his nephew did while Paul was helping to raise him.

The psychic told he without me asking that Paul was here and said "I was doing fine with Brandon but to spend more time with his and watch for his depression."  One day later Brandon opened up to me (again this is while we were in a motel room on vacation) and admitted that the cuts he had shown me before were done by himself to feel something.

I had known something was deeply wrong with our son but needed some type of proof that it was not my imagination, or just being an overly protective mom.

here Paul told me to watch for depression just a day before I had proof that something indeed was seriously wrong.

Now on to the present time, two weeks later...

My neighbor Jimmy is in the process of dying.  I found out 6 days ago that he had 2 days to live.  Since that time I have been asking the great unknown, the divine above, Lord, Jesus what ever your beliefs are to Please help Jimmy see some of heaven so that he would not fear death.

I also have been asking Paul daily to please help Jimmy into heaven so that he would not be so scared of the unknown.  Also insisting that he be there to greet him when Jimmy does finally go to heaven.

The front broken doorbell has been ringing off the hook since I have asked for help for Jimmy.  Also asking for strength for Mary his soon to be widow.  I feel his presence often this past week.

Just moments ago I was speaking to my sister asking in simple terms what the third eye is.   While speaking to my sister, I felt something wrap around my body as though it were a protective ? Pouch an ? aura of yellow and orange.

Being mid sentence talking to Sue I confessed this.

I do not know what that was but the feeling was protection from Paul.  Last night as I lay on the couch totally relaxed despite the fact that I was waiting for Jimmy to die. I began to feel a numbing sensation for my whole body, it began to feel heavy as though ? something was about to happen.  This scared me as I thought it might be a physical thing, and I could not be in ill health at this point as so many people were relying on me.  I shook it off but, was I about to have an OBE?  Would I have had one if I not feared it?

Perhaps next time if there is one I will just remain relaxed and roll with it.

I know that Paul is near.  He know that I Love and Miss him as always, but feels some responsibility still for my son and I.  Knowing he is here to protect us and is our spirit guide by choice.

My Logic and Spiritual self only keeps me from growing the way I was meant to.

There is more to life and death as we know it.  I am convinced of this but only need to allow my spirituality to grow instead of questioning it.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

This is one of the strangest experiences I have come across though not the usual "signs" that I get such as the door bell ringing with no one there.  I came home after a 10 day trip to Niagara falls with my sister-in-law and son.  Several months ago my son had knocked down the towel rack pulling on it.  Thankfully it was a simple job the screws had come loose.  A simple fast repair.  However I left a vest on the rack and now it was on there permanently until I unscrewed it again.  I had not done so, when I left for vacation it was on the towel rack as it had been for 2 months...When I came home, it was on the floor. No one would have had any reason to come into my home and unscrew the towel rack to get the vest off.  The towel rack was sturdy and not loose.  Just kind of strange to come home to.  I had been missing hubby during this trip and wished for a sign from him that perhaps he was with me and able to view the beauty of Niagara Falls with me through my eyes.  Was this a sign?  I do not know but I do know that it is one of the strangest occurrences though simple.

Experience description:

On Dec 6th or 2009 My husband went for a walk on a cold Winter Morning.  He had just said the day previously that he would not walk in the winter on his daily walks it was too cold for him.  He did go for a walk on that morning which I found unusual considering the comment he had made the days before.  Before he went he had a funny look on his face as if this was a goodbye.  That he would never see me again.  I think that he knew...

Two nights prior we had got him a massive stair master since he would not be walking in the winter.  Bringing the contraption through the door was no easy task and in doing so we broke the front doorbell.

Within a week of his death the doorbell began to ring with no one there.  The working kitchen door bell would ring as well.  When I was having bouts of severe grief the doorbell would ring as if to say, I am still here...Please do not cry.  I would snap out of the deep sobbing confused when I went to the door and no one was there.

After a bit I accepted this form of communication and felt quite warm and calm when it occurred.  I even began to smile when it happened and respond I Love You to its ring.  The front (broken) bell even began to change tones after a while.  This is when I began to somewhat doubt my sanity of thinking that  broken doorbell could be my husband saying hello from time to time.

Once in the early months of grief we had a massive thunderstorm.  I remembered all the times that we watched such storms and began to sob on the front porch sitting on a picnic bench.  I actually felt some ? presence sit behind me as if to comfort me and say there ..do not despair, a hug of sorts.

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  no

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           There is a difference in wanting a "sign" and feeling that it was a sign.  Butterflies, finding coins and all that might be random and I chalk it up to wishful thinking.  This is more concrete and cannot make the doorbell ring if I try.  I also thought it might be someone's garage door opener.  Some interference.  I have tried to debunk it several times and can find no rational explanation for it.

Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           mostly as listed in #22 But I have been also extremely excited going on a trip and been encouraged by the doorbell as well.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Uncertain

The doorbell has slowed down since I laid his ashes to rest.  I mill the little signs but know that he has to move on and I suppose I do too.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Knowing that he is with me as I adjust to this new life, The New Normal I am supposed to accept.  As I become more independent and continue to find out who I am as the we becomes me,  I think he approves.  The worst medimorphasizing (sp) without him.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes                 Describe:      see # 32 also now I do not hesitate to say what I feel and do what I want life is just too short for the B.S. and games people like to play.  I have matured I suppose.  I am a no nonsense type of person.  Also Love to the fullest.  An act and emotion that was difficult for me at one time.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes     I will always Miss and Love hubby but life is for the living and I try to live life to the fullest knowing that what we love can be taken away in the blink of an eye.

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?            Uncertain      I know believe that the little signs I get are hello's from heaven
