Experience description:

I had non normal experiences from years back that were not out of body but I feel are worth mentioning. After my brother was shot and killed in 1972, he came to me as an apparition and told me his death was not my fault and that he was in a better place. While in alcohol abuse treatment, I was surrounded by a bright light that did not hurt my eyes and I somehow knew the urge to drink alcohol had been lifted from my life. I was down on my knees praying very intensely when that happened. Years later when my wife was in the hospital being treated for cancer I again got down on my knees and prayed for help dealing with this situation. The next day while driving on a very busy interstate highway, I had my deceased father, mother, and brother come to me, as an apparition. Then my grandmother whom I did not especially care for also floated into my car. They were there for a short time and then disappeared as quickly as they had came. They did not talk to me but I feel they were telling me it is o.k. there is more afterlife!

After fighting cancer for almost a year my wife Marge passed on. After her passing I began writing poems to her. Shortly after her passing I began having things happen which were related to the number 17. On Easter 2005 I spent too much time by my in-laws and was running late to pick up my daughter at the airport. I don't normally speed but that night I was. I heard a voice which sounded like my wife's say, "slow down, the plane is late, it will be landing at 9:17." I looked around the car and naturally no one was in it except myself. When I got to the terminal, I looked up at the board and the plane my daughter was on was listed as delayed expected arrival 9:24. A short time later I looked up at the screen again and for my daughters flight it read-landed 9:17. I had kind of a chill run up my spine. When my daughter got to me I told her of my experience. That was just a beginning of things affiliated with the number 17 happening to me.

On March 24, 2005 as I went to bed I remember my dog Ellie looking toward the doorway and gently growling. After I finally fell to sleep I remember flying toward Marge at an immense speed. When I reached her we kind of just melted together. It didn't last long but the next day at work was just great. I was happy and just high on life. Marge had looked so beautiful and i just knew she was o.k. A couple days later while reading a spiritual book I realized that a couple nights earlier I had experienced and out of body experience. On April 4, 2005 I remember going somewhere again, with my deceased wife Marge. All I remember is that I was with her and she told me I had to get back because my phone was ringing. I remember kind of like clunking back into my body. I then heard the phone ringing so I jumped out of bed to answer the telephone. When I answered the phone Amy (a girl from work) asked me why I didn't answer the phone. I said I did answer it and she said no, a couple minutes ago when Floyd called. I said oh I wasn't here then. Kind of weird but I explained it to her later. I knew I had just had another out of body experience but I couldn't remember any of it except that I was gone with my deceased wife Marge. In June of 2005 my niece, her husband and a couple friends went on a trip to Canada fishing. The third night there I had another out of body experience. It was great, we were flying around, looking at all the lakes and hills and beautiful country.

My next out of body experience was probably the most profound of all of them I have experienced. Marge was flying ahead of me, looking back and smiling at me. I didn't know where I was going or care as long as I was with Marge. We arrived at a place which I thought was the hall of life review. We were met by a very tall man with a robe. In my book I wrote he was a man with heavenly looks. There were books everywhere as far and high as I could see. The man asked me if I knew where I was and I said no. I was happy I was finally dead and back with Marge. I remember looking at the man and seeing he was standing on air. I then realized Marge and I also were standing on air. The man then told me I was at the hall of life review. He then informed me I had to go back to earth and work on my anger problem. Again the next day was marvelous. I had a few other experiences after that which I don't really classify as out of body experiences because they were just too vague. Marge did tell me I could not come with her anymore because I did not want to come back to earth after my last out of body experience, and i  haven't gone with her since.
