After logging into my email account, my site has located at the bottom right hand corner "get updates from." It always list two names taken directly from your personal email contact list. Right after my mother died, I noticed her name, melba_p as one to get connected with. This was not possible. She is not and has never been on my contact email list. This has happened over and over, but seems to happen when I'm in a rough spot in life.

The next two events occurred while I was lying in my bed watching TV. I saw out of my left eye/ my peripheral I could see an iridescence of color floating. I had a clear knowing this was once again my Mother.

I was resting in my bed not feeling well and when I had dozed off, not quite asleep, I felt a hand on my back pressing. This happened twice. I sat up to check and see if there was anything in the bed with me to have made this take place and there was not. My mother visiting me once again.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?            No

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          No

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            Yes

I was lying in my bed and felt a hand touch my back.

            Was the touch familiar or unfamiliar?   Yes. My mother would rub my back at night.

            Was anything communicated by the touch?  A reassurance that she is here with me.

            Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?  NO

Did you see the deceased?         No

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      Yes

            What smell, scent, fragrance or odor did you smell?           I was working at the Animal Shelter one day soon after my Mother's funeral. I sensed something behind me and smelled a very sweet odor.

            Was the smell, scent, fragrance or odor familiar?     No

            Was anything communicated by the smell?   A loving presence.

            Is there any possibility that the smell, scent, fragrance or odor was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?        I work in a cat shelter...you can only imagine the smells of 50 cat litter boxes!

How long did the experience last?        Perhaps a minute.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         gradual. It took me a moment to allow myself to "feel" a presence behind me, to acknowledge that presence to myself. After my acknowledgement along with a smile, it was gone.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

very happy. finally at peace.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           The impossible happened when my mother's name came up on my computer. She did not have an email account. After this first experience, I think I was more sensitive, had more of an awareness to be open to other experiences.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No       

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           Mostly excitement that Mother would try to communicate with me. She has not done this with my other two sisters which makes my experiences seem very special.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Yes

More of an awareness of God and His love for not only me but for my Mother.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      That my mother would come back to share herself with me.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes                 Describe:      I feel I have more of a true connection with God.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   No

My mother was not included in this compact. I have a twin sister where we have made this compact.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Uncertain I am not certain how to answer this question. I have shown my daughter each time I see Mother's name on the email contact list so as to confirm that we have both seen it.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            A feeling of peace. Not only did my Mother know what I was going through at the time but more of a reality that God knew also.

As I stated previously I did see an iridescence glow in my bed room experience.

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?            Yes

My office computer and my workplace.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     They all believed. My sisters also felt a sense of peace.

Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?   No

Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?            Yes

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No 

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?           I had two different dreams of loved ones dying and the next day it happened.
