Experience description:

When I got out of the tub, there was steam on the mirror.  The first night, I noticed what looked like words.  There was the word Hi! and then mine and my husband's names:  Janet & Frank.  Down below about a foot, but still on the mirror was written the following:  L U all,  Sue.  If came to mind that L U meant love you.

The next night, I took another bubble bath.  I enjoy bubble baths because they relax me. When I got out of the tub, I looked at the steamed mirror to see if anything appeared.  It did.  There were two palm trees; in between the palm trees was the word Hi. Below the trees, two little birds were on the ground. One of the birds had a long, thin beak and instantly the words "down under" popped into my head, since I thought the long beaked bird looked lie a kiwi bird in Australia.  Then the image of a bridge appeared to the left of the tropical scene.

I was thinking that the scene was in Hawaii.  Sue liked to go to Hawaii.  Then I thought maybe the Hi stood for Hawaii.  Then it occurred to me that it was paradise.  I  thought Sue was telling me that she is in paradise.  I couldn't figure out the bridge at all.  It was a bridge that looked just like the bridge in Monet's water lilies painting, which I have visited in France.  Then it hit me that the bridge represented Sue crossing over to the other side.

These experiences in waking life, are much like the dreams I have where events and objects symbolize other meanings.

I have not been afraid when these things have happened.  I have been very curious and astonished.  I have particularly been surprised, since Sue and I were not close.  But, I did find myself being quite sad and wanting to support my brother through this, even though he and I have been at odds through the years.

I have also been surprised, since I have never had any overt experiences like this in waking life.  I have only had signs from my best friend who died and of course dreams.  Yesterday, I smelled the flowers from her funeral in one particular room of the house.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No
