Experience description:

the voice i heard came from outside under our window.  there was no one there. i had been waiting for some confirmation from Shane that he was okay, and receiving this message on Easter a.m. meant for me, that he was resurrected, and very much okay.

Details of location of experience and your activity at the time of experience:  It was just after dawn, five or six a.m.  I had left the bedroom window open slightly during the night. A cool spring breeze was drifting in to the bedroom.  I awakened to hear a grown man say Shane- very clearly, very slowly, three times.  I was very unnerved, but also positive that this was my son, Shane bringing me comfort. He sounded in his twenties.  Its resonance is what I recall mostly.  It sounded like a song- I have often wished to hear it again, but never have.

The ending syllables were whispered and seemed to echo.

Was the smell, scent, fragrance or odor familiar?     The rose smell was distinctively pink roses, and the smell was noted by all, even the youngest child, without them having been alerted to the smell.

Is there any possibility that the smell, scent, fragrance or odor was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?        No flowers, scented candles, perfumes- my son had respiratory problems so our house was clear of odors.

How long did the experience last?        many hours. five hours.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         the beginning was gradual and then it got very very pungent. I actually popped popcorn and masked it a bit bc. I was so freaked out by it.
