I was sleeping.  I had a dream and heard a woman speaking to me.  I do not recall seeing anyone.  But she said to me "Your mama needs you.  She needs you. <then I don't remember what she said but there was something else here> then she said, "He died nearly three hours ago."  Immediately, I woke up -- scared of what I dreamed.  Even though I never called my mother, "Mama" I thought perhaps something was happening to my own mother.  I was panicked.  I looked at the clock, the time was 3:58.  Two minutes later, at 4:00 am, the phone next to my bed rang and it was my mother-in-law.  She said, "Sorry to wake you, but Bill died... about three hours ago."

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          Yes

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?  I heard a voice in my dream/sleep.

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           I did not recognize or know the voice.  It was not his voice, it was a woman's voice.

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           No.  None.

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   No.

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            No

Did you see the deceased?         No

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           No

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           My dream and this woman's voice woke me up.  I was scared something was wrong with my mother.  Then two minutes later the phone rang with news that was exactly the same as the woman told me in my dream.

Yes     Many were intrigued.  The fact that the information I was told was confirmed by the phone call 2 minutes later removes doubt.
