Experience description:
This is not really MY NDE, but rather a "vision" that occurred when
I was lying in bed next to my dying mother. I was called to the hospital at 6pm,
and arrived from Pennsylvania at around 11pm. My mother was unable to speak. She
had tubes in her throat and did not open her eyes. I asked the nurse to leave,
turned off the TV and the lights, and crawled into bed with her. I began to sing
some songs that my grandmother (her mother) had sung to me as a child. I noticed
a light on my mother's side of the bed. It wasn't bright-more like an aura, but
it was white. I saw my grandmother, flanked by her other daughter and son. All
were wearing white robe type garments. Their faces were young and unlined, but
not real distinct. They seemed to be walking through an orchard with a canopy of
trees. In the trees and on the ground were blossoms (I think apple
blossoms-white and light pink), and I smelled a sweet apple smell. I told my
mother it was okay to go - and I saw a white wisp of her going to them. I then
heard the hospital machine beep continuously - and the vision was gone - and my
mother had died.

Yes It was "filmy", as if seen through a fine piece of silk.

Uncertain Not sure that I heard any sound at all.

Yes A canopy of trees with light behind it.

Yes Deceased grandmother, aunt and uncle. I knew them, but they looked
younger. There was no verbal communication, but my grandmother might have
motioned for my mother to come.

Uncertain I was and continue to be especially intuitive and sensitive.

Yes About 1 year later. One person told me that she had experienced
something similar when her mother died.

Yes From the media, I had an idea-but never knew it might happen when
a person closest to you dies.
