I was with my mother when she passed on July 21, 2010.  She was surrounded by myself and family members and her passing was very peaceful.  After making arrangements for her at the funeral home, I went home and soon started working on a collage for her pictures.  I had worked with pictures often as I used this type of program at my job.  I tagged or titled the group of pictures I was working with as Mom so that they would group together.  One of the pictures I was working on had not been tagged as of yet.  I had left the computer and when I returned  the picture was tagged Freddie's Grave.  Freddie was my daughter's father and we had just been to his grave on July 11th.  The following day my sister came over with watermelon from my nephew Danny.  I was working on pictures again and again tagging them as Mom  when I looked back to the computer the picture was tagged Danny.  I tried to create an error when naming the pictures and couldn't.  The entire tag needed to be typed one letter at a time. 

On July 18th while sitting in the living room of my house, a house I had lived in since 1982, my daughter noticed the moon and mentioned that it looked weird.  She kept repeating it so I went outside on the front porch to see what she was talking about.  I was shocked, the moon looked like it was perched on the roof of the house across the street from my house.  I had never seen the moon so low, or flashing images as it was doing on this night.  I got my camera and began taking pictures.  When I downloaded the pictures of the moon to the computer all of the pictures had taken shapes that were very different and very distinct.  Two were pictures of a heart, one which looked like it was being carried by a dove.  One was a picture of two angels and the most interesting was of what appeared to be a lady in a long dress or a blanket covering her legs, as my mom often did.  All while I was snapping pictures the moon, the moon was flashing images!  Since the moon was so low, it disappeared behind the two story house at about 12am., again something I had never seem.  My daughter and I got into the car and drove a few miles around the neighborhood and could not find any evidence of the moon.  I did however see a white cloudy vertical streak, that looked to be in a flying motion appear in front of my windshield.  I swerved as to not hit it and ended up in a fast food parking lot,   When I later took two more pictures it was of a clear black sky with a distant white light!  After looking at the pictures I went to the Funeral website to read what I had wrote in my condolence to my mother.  I had written     "Perhaps there are not just stars in the sky, but an opening where your peacefulness can shine through to let me know that you are happy and in a better place.  If I hadn't written this and asked for a sign in the sky I would not have thought this was a sign from my mother....but with the evidence of what I wrote weeks prior, and with the evidence of the pictures I took of the moon taking on these obvious shapes, I am convinced that my mother is happy and in a better place :)"

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         Gradual, from the beginning of the moon taken on different forms it appeared to be dropping and eventually dropped behing a 2 story building.  This is when the moon disappeared.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           No

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           I witnessed the communication on the computer and I witness the pictures I took with my camera of a moon like I had NEVER seen before and had NEVER goon outside to look at.  This was real.  I later looked on the computer to see if anyone had blogged information about the moon on August 18, 2010 and looked up on the news and didn't find any evidence that anyone reported anything.

I feel that is was a message that my mother is indeed happy and in a better place.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      The best was feeling that I got the sign I asked for and NEVER really expected to get.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?        Yes

Not really a contract but when I tried to talk to my mother about dying I would say, "if you go first don't forget to tell God how good I've been and if I go first I will do the same".  I used to say this so that if my mom wanted to talk about dying she could without getting emotional.  I would just try to get a reaction as to how she was feeling about dying.  We knew she was going to die, she had stage IV cancer and we as a family agreed that she had given a fight and it was time to let her go in peace.  I just felt I needed to know if she was ok with this decision.  I would have loved to keep her forever!

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes Yes, I observed the moon and I took pictures to show the images I saw with the naked eye and with the eye of the camera.  I have NEVER seen anything like this or heard anything like this happening before.  These images were from pictures taken from the moon.
