Experience description:

My first experience was the strangest of the two I've had.  When I was 4 years old my Great Grandmother died of a heart attack in her sleep, she was too stubborn to get a pacemaker.  I went everywhere with her and on many nights even slept in the same bed as her.  I was in her arms the night she died.  A month after she died my family decided that it was time to clean out my Great Grandparent's house.  They went upstairs and and shut the door so they could move the items around and get ready to move the bedroom set out.  I thought I would surprise them by going up the stairs and helping them.

I got about 3 steps up and heard a loud deep voice.  It said, "Justin, I have to tell you something."  I was looking around and then looked up at the attic door, which is the direction the voice was coming from.  I said, "ok" and the voice said, "do you know where your Grandma is?"  I said, "no but I miss her a lot."  The voice then told me that she was back with him and I didn't have to worry about her.  I started to cry because I missed my Grandma a lot, and he told me to stop crying.  He then said the words that I will never forget.  He said, "we both love you and we know that you will be just fine, you will be with us many years from now."  I suddenly stopped crying and then said, "ok".  Then the voice left, and to this day I believe that it was my Great Grandfather telling me that his wife was with him in heaven.  I guess he missed her a lot too.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?

No
