Experience description:

July 14, 2000 I had an altered reaction to a called "Fentnyl" which is a type of opiod I do believe.  I was alone w/my son in the home and had taken some of the medication.  I do not remember going into the bathroom to take a shower, but I had a cardiac arrest w/respiratory failure, luckily my son was able to unlock the door for my husband because he found me in the bathroom w/the shower running on me, having turned blue/purple already.

911 was called and the fire trunks/ambulance proceeded to intubate and had to artificially breath for me all the way to the Biloxi Regional Medical Center in Biloxi, MS. I will explain to you what happened as it did in the BRMC emergency room....

I the brief amount of time that it felt to be, I woke up for a moment while lying on the gurney in the e.r. and saw the personnel hustle and bustle around me and the room w/i.v. needles, tape, the respirator tubes, etc....

But there was also a woman wearing all white, dark hair, black rimmed glasses, a gold cross hanging around her neck standing on the side at the middle of the gurney. Her presence was of a calm nature, very docile and gentle just looking.  Well, the room then went to a white smoke appearance, I couldn't hear a thing and the e.r. appeared again, with the same woman standing beside the bed...she looked at me, she disappeared for a brief moment, she again re-appeared in the middle of the doorway as people were steadily coming in and out of the room.  The last thing she did was look at me and smile and I at that moment disappeared out of nowhere!

The main outcome was I had died and if I wouldn't have started to breath w/in about 2minutes of time they would have had me on a respirator for the rest of my life.  A few months later I was living with my parents in Arcadia, WI (which they have recently moved from to Las Vegas, NV)...digging through some pictures my mom had in the basement and I came across a little black and white photo of the woman who was in the e.r. the day I had my cardiac arrest, and it was my mother's mom who had died when my mother was very young.

I also recently called the Biloxi Regional Hospital and asked them if they had any Chaplin services in the hospital during that time to make sure in my head the woman just wasn't a person working as the hospital Chaplin or anything to explain what had happened. I need some help with all of the experiences I have been having ever since that experience.  I don't want to say that I came back with a different sensing ability as a type of psychic, but I feel like I am going crazy and really don't know where else to turn.  My husband doesn't want to hear it, friends will think I'm cuckoo and am at my wits end.  I am really looking for some advice or avenues to help me.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?

Uncertain

Trying to describe a feeling that a rare number of people have experienced and that why it does make it difficult to bring the actual feeling to the other persons senses.

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?

No

Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?

Now that I look back I sense the look she was giving me was that you are here now but it is not your time to be here and smiling to tell me that it was going to be ok just to have faith.

Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?

I have thought through it over and over and over, to the point where it makes me want to vomit and I still can't come up w/anything.

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?

No

Did you see the deceased?

Yes

Dressed in all white with a gold cross hanging around her neck

How clearly did the deceased appear?            In living color and I can see it as if it were happening right now.

How much of the deceased did you see?       From the head down to below hip area

Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?       They appeared to be probably around the same age as the picture I found of them after my experience happened (approximate time 3-4mos after my experience).

Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           NO!!!

How long did the experience last?

Seemed to be a few minutes.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?

stayed at the same pace throughout.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?

Yes, Yes, I stated above that the emotion was happiness, gentle, warm

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?

Experience was definitely real

Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:

I view this as real because I have guess you could say "on my own" done my own deducting and with the strange things that happen to me daily now with what seems to me to be ADC...I ask myself with each one what the probability of this situation is. I constantly am thinking about this cause i don't know what else or where else to go.

Yes

Felt as if I was suspended in time but yet could see time moving right in front of me!!

As if I was present but also not present at the same time, I felt no fear just I guess you could say astonishment with the whole experience.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?

Best was that i lived to be here for my family and my son!!! Worst part is not being able to speak about this experience and/or the subject matter with non-believers or ignorant     rs that will anything not considered "normal" any respect.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?

All emotions of my have always been easy to bring out, like crying at a greeting card for happiness or sadness and comedy but my senses and emotions are probably on a percentage scale 85-90% above what they used to be.

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?

No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?

Yes

As I stated before I felt as if I was standing still in time although I could see others around me moving about fairly fast.

Yes

I do feel this but it really would take me a lot of time to type out.

Uncertain

Events that happen to me today, I can look back when the next day appears and the thought I concentrated on that day, the next day something will be in the news regarding something I thought about.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes

To start off, my senses have tripled in ability, my brain goes non-stop and I find myself wanting to alter my states of consciousness because I think to much and it seems like my body is wearing down with all that is going on in my mind. I feel like I'm going crazy now.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?

Yes

felt as if i was lying down on the gurney standing still in time but watching time move and people move around me.

Yes, white/gray looking smoke

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?

No

Yes

Many people I have told have been skeptics I believe.  I can barely speak to my husband about this experience.  He thinks too "black and white" and doesn't really believe in god either...he wants to believe but doesn't want to so we end up arguing about the whole thing and I have just stopped talking about the whole subject altogether.

Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?

No

Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?

I would be deeply appreciative to any suggestions ANYONE at your website would be able to give me!!!  I truly feel as if I am going crazy w/all the bizarre things that go on in my head...what i see, etc.
