My mother died after being ill for many years. I spent the last days with her and was with her when she died. Of course a tough experience but I was as prepared as one can be. After her death I spent one hour phoning relatives and then I had coffee with the personel at the nursing home. I live quite a distance from this place so I had agreed to drive to my sister's home (which is near to the place my mother had lived for many years. Driving to my sister (in the countryside) I saw a car parked on my side of the road buit turned towards me (the wrong direction). No headlights or lamps inside the car was lit. When passing the car I saw a "person" like bathing in light who looked at me. It was something out of the ordinary and I felt scared. My passing the car only took a second but I still can see the whole scene although I have a problem describing it accurately in English. I am sure it was my mother in the car.

I saw a shining face I didn't think that it was my mother - not until I couldn't explain the whole thing to we and it didn't make sense.
