My mother died of Alzheimer's and suffered greatly during these years as well as I . Watching your mother wear away is terrible. It was the never ending funeral. I had 4 teenage boys and a career and had difficult getting the proper help for her. She became violent and aggressive. It was heart breaking for me. She lost a lot of weight and looked very worn. She was a beautiful woman before. for years I had vivid dreams of her suffering and could not sleep. One night I woke up to someone stroking by back as she used to do when I was a child. I was not scared but at peace. I then saw a brilliant white light that sat down beside my bed and spoke to me thru my mind. There was no interaction of words. She told me she was happy and healthy and to go on and live my life. I don't remember much else , but felt an enormous relieve and peace. I never again dreamed about my mother  with that ugly face. I went to visit a priest who was a friend of mine and he told me that, that was a gift to me so that I would know that my mother was alright. changed my life forever.
