Two weeks before my best friend/lover died, two Doves made a nest in one of my hanging balcony planters just two feet from my front door. Very unusual place to build nest. I have many photos. Soon after the mama dove laid two eggs. Rene and I were quickly enchanted by these lovely birds because, well, doves are mates for life.
