Severe hemorrhages, ambulance transport to ER; surgical interventions and transfusions. In and out of consciousness. Repeated 'visits' by deceased relatives- aunts, sister, grandparents & deceased childhood friend and cousin. They were lined up along a table A's in paintings of the Last Supper/ their faces were white and transparent; two dimensional yet like round or oval orbs. Behind them was a translucent muddy background.  They reassured me that they were 'closer than you think' and 'always here with you but not in a way you can understand.' I asked or they told me that it 'was close to my time.' this was a repeated experience and every time I was reluctant but they told me it was much better than I could imagine. I negotiated, saying: 'isn't 10 of your minutes about 10 years here? Can't I just have 10 minutes. They indicated that their time didn't have the same meaning as my current life experience. I was told they'd 'get back to me.' Eventually I was alert enough to realize that the 'visits' had stopped, which is a relief, although they were oddly comforting.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?         Yes            Severe And repeated arterial hemorrhages post op _ resulting in manor blood loss requiring nutlike surgical interventions and transfusions.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?   Yes     Odd colors and the intensity was overwhelming. Yet it sounded mundane or just plain odd when I tried to describe it.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    Less consciousness and alertness than normal    Not alert during experience. A's my consciousness and alertness returned, the visions faded. But I kept talking to my family about them. I was fighting for my life and in an extremely weak and anemic state

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.    Colors were different. Not exactly brighter... More like translucent and I could see through the faces.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.    The voices seemed to be talking directly into my thoughts.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?    Uncertain  

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Not quite fear. Reluctance yet comfort and nostalgia.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?           No      

Did you see an unearthly light? Uncertain      No tunnel. The faces had translucent glow.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?            I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin    Deceased family members. Faces and voices. Insistent and Persistent and soothing.

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?         Yes    Close family and loved ones who I knew to be dead - sister, aunts , cousin, grandparents, childhood friends.

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?    Uncertain            Vague recollections of shared experiences and things they observed according to their conversation.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?          A clearly mystical or unearthly realm            Brown muddy yet translucent background.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?     Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning            It was clear that we were in a realm where time was very compressed or irrelevant.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?            Everything about the universe  

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? No      

Did you come to a border or point of no return?       I came to a definite conscious decision to "return" to life         I negotiated for more time.

Did scenes from the future come to you?       No      

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?        Yes     I had a good glimpse and grasped a lot of what the spirits were sharing. But mostly realized that I had blinders on

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?    Yes     Seem to be many more uncanny coincidences

Have you ever shared this experience with others?            Yes     I shared right away with close friends and family. Some are interested and supportive some are frightened. Some look at me A's if I have lost my mind.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?    Yes     I had heard stories. This was not like any stories is heard. I had a similar experience a year ago.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:    Experience was definitely real    Immediately knew it was real and significant/. More hesitant to share it now
