My 11 year old son tells me that he speaks with deceased persons at least once a week. He has told me that this occurs when he is having difficulty getting to sleep. He says that his body is resting on his bed, and that his soul goes up to heaven to speak with my father, brother, sister in law etc. He describes this experience as fun, and says that they all have a great chat ? I asked if he is tired when he wakes the next day, as he tells me he spends many hours with these people, however he says that he is fine cause his body is resting in bed whilst his soul is with deceased relatives. He also says there are people that talk to him that he doesn't know, and when I asked for a physical description of this person, it turned out to be my deceased brother, who my son doesn't even know ? I am really worried about these stories my son is telling me due to the fact that the things said are exactly what has happened, which my 11 year old has no knowledge. Our family aren't into spirits, ghosts, etc and never talk about, nor have any of us experienced any such thing. My son says he isn't scared of what happens, and quite open to talking about his possible out of body experience. My son is quite intelligent for his age, and currently attends a school for gifted and talented children. Not sure what is going on in his head, but as previously stated, things that he tells me are so true that I am really freaking out. Does my son now have some sort of mental illness ? Apart from this weird talk, everything else is very normal in his life. He also told me that the deceased persons will send him back with 5 minutes notice should anyone be thinking of going into his room to wake him ?
