Experience description:

I was shown a log cabin like building, then the interior and surrounding grounds very briefly. In the first dream I was allowed to view my Mother but not come near her or make her aware of my presence. The "Guide" person told me that she had been given work to do that she liked and could concentrate on so that she could adjust to her crossing over. I was also told that I was not allowed to come in contact with her yet, as it would confuse and upset her.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?            No

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          Yes

            Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:   She was humming as she worked in a flowerbed.

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?  Yes. I heard the sounds coming from outside of me.

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           Oh, yes. My Mother and I enjoyed singing together.

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           No.

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   No.

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            No

Not at this time.

            Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?  no.

Did you see the deceased?         Yes

She was healthy. Kneeling down by the flower bed, wearing cotton gardening gloves, digging with a trowel. In life she seldom wore gardening gloves.

            How clearly did the deceased appear?            Solid

            How much of the deceased did you see?       All.

            Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?       Same age.

            How healthy did the deceased appear to be?            Healthy. Her heart problems did not affect her appearance before she died.

            Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           No.

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

How long did the experience last?        Five to ten minutes.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         The beginning was more gradual.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

Happy to be out of doors and working in the flowers. Also somewhat confused or foggy feeling.

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  Not in the first dream.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   Yes

I was sleeping when it happened.

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           Longing to see my Mother and missing her terribly. Happy to see that she was safe and doing some thing that she enjoyed. Slightly concerned that she was having some confusion after having died.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Best. Seeing my Mom.  Worst . Not being able to put my arms around her

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         No

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   No

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?            Yes

Yes, That we are all watched over and guided even if we are not always aware of it.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?        No

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Some lessening of my sadness. Pleased that she was being provided with some activity that she could enjoy and I was content that she was adjusting to her new state.

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?            Yes

Yes , a male "guide". I did not see his face but he had a dark business suit on. He had a feeling of power about him.
