My 21 year old son passed away on November 9, 1998. I received the news at 2 pm on that day. It was a Monday. I was so distraught that I did not lay down to rest until Midnight on November 19th, 1998.

I was staying at my mothers for this time period. I fell asleep on my mother's living room floor. I looked at the clock and saw that it was Midnight. I fell asleep instantly. I fell into what seemed to have been a deep deep sleep, and it seemed that as soon as I was asleep my life left my body. I just knew my life had left my body and it kept travelling very fast, and it was dark, it was like I was travelling with no eyes and no body.

I kept travelling faster, and faster, and even faster, and before you know it there was some dim lights, and as I traveled faster and faster I came to this huge light. It was like a picture of a huge sunshine that was shining over a beach/ocean. I still traveled faster and could see this light. I came to an abrupt halt. I looked and on one side I knew it was God and the other side was my late son. My late son said to God, send her back right now, it is not her time.  I woke up in my mother's living room at exactly 12 minutes past midnight.       

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?   No   

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?   No   

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?   I was asleep but knew what was going on with my life that left my body

Was the experience dream like in any way?   No, It actually happened to me      It was not even a life form, it was just my life and I could see

What emotions did you feel during the experience?    none. It seemed that I had gone to a place to find my son, and when I did find him no emotions were experienced

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?    no

Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?    Yes    I am thinking this light was in Heaven, and that my experience showed me that my late son had been grabbed by God rather than the devil

Did you see a light?    Yes   

Did you meet or see any other beings?    Yes    God on one side and my late son on the other side

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?   No   

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?   No   

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?    No   

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?    No   

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    No    I came to know that my constant angst as to what happened to my son and where he went when he died played a huge part in my out of body experience

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?    Yes    My life that was travelling had come to an abrupt halt by God and by my late son. I am presuming that should I have gone into the light, I would have not made it back to the shell my life belonged to.

Did you become aware of future events?    No   

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?    No    It seemed that I had no say to the matter. It was decided for my by my late son

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?    Yes    I am able to sense things about people that amazes them

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes    I certainly believe that my son although in his passed state was able to feel my angst about his passing and had a hand in showing me what happened to him and where he went

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?    I am a great believer of After Death Communications

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No            Some reactions were jealousy, amazement, disgust, disbelief, and comforting

What was the best and worst part of your experience?   The best part was that I was showed where my late son went after he passed, sitting right beside God

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?    That OBEs does happen. It may happen for no reason and/or sometimes induced by the over stressed psyche.
