Experience description:

My husband passed away 4 months ago. We had an amazing marriage for almost 30 years but I never dream about him, except for only once or twice since the accident. In However,  I have had 4 or 5 times a weird experience, which starts always in the same way.  I am lying in bed, waiting for sleep. I'm awake as I can clearly remember the time on the clock afterwards. And then, I fall in a kind of sleep/awake state. I can clearly think, I know that I am lying in bed and I'm aware of the position of my body under the blankets. I don't see him in my dream, it's not a visual experience. It's a physical one. I can feel him hugging me through the blankets. The last time I said to him "hold me" and he did it. I said again "hold me tight" and I could feel his arms trying to push harder through the blankets. It felt like a very "familiar" touch, I simply knew it was him! And then I wake up and the feeling of physical contact immediately vanishes. The first three of four times I thought it was just my imagination, but since the last time, about 10 days ago,  I'm not so sure that it is only a dream or a kind of hallucination. If it was a dream why should I feel the pressure through the blankets? I would probably feel the contact of his hand directly on my skin, but it was so clear that the blankets were an obstacle. This detail made the experience so real!
