Experience description:

Kim's brother and I were sound asleep.  Kim came to me smiling, took me by the hand and I looked down, I saw myself sleeping, unable to move,  we traveled to a medical building, we were holding hands, we watched above a body being worked on, lots of doctors, huge needles, she was telling me something, I was agreeing, but can not remember what she said. she was happy, was comforting me, took me back to my bed, kissed me on the cheek, said goodbye.  I felt a slam into my bed, woke briefly.

7 am the phone rang, her brother asked to speak to my fianc, their brother, he announced there was a car accident, 2 am, that night while we slept. She was in Southampton NY,  Kim and her friend were killed in an awful, crash, a drunk driver ran right over the rabbit car she drove and crushed both girls.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         suddenly, out of no where. travel seemed to take a long time, we had lots of fun.  I was upset looking down on the medical unit, it was like a morgue with her, she did seem sad then too, but was reassuring me she was ok.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

she was free of something, well, happy to be where she was, but sad to leave us.  Kim and her 2 brothers lost their parents at 6 months apart, they were very young teens.  She was happy.

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  yes, she was showing me her dead body in the morgue, being worked on. I didn't know she was killed in the car accident until the next morning 7 am.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           there is no other way to explain how I could have seen all of this prior to  that 7 am phone call. as soon as I heard Tim's voice, I handed the phone to mike, he screamed, NO, and I knew exactly why. Tim had not told me first, he told his brother first, on the phone at 7 am.

Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

I was not able to move I felt a huge slam as I was back in bed, it nearly hurt.

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           I was first refusing to go, then happy I did go, I felt very sad as Kim kissed me on the cheek and said goodbye.  I didn't want her to go. I begged her to stay. She said she could not.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Yes

I had something like this happen after my brother was killed in a car accident in 1971.  I remember the exact same traveling and the exact same slam back into bed feeling.  I knew it was not just a dream both times. I know there is some kind of life after death, still not sure what, how and if you see others from your life.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      saying goodbye, I begged her to stay, then receiving the phone call at 7 am.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes                 Describe:      I am not as sad for her loss.  I know she is happy and with us.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes     as above, I believe in life after death, just not sure how, where, or if you see anyone else.  Maybe there is even reincarnation, I don't know.

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?            Yes     I am not sure, being RC, I call God our Lord.  I just know we do not use all of our brain, as humans, if we were ever able to use 100% of our brains, I cant imagine what we are able to do.  This I think is part of the energy we are made up of.  Its confusing as RC to think of it a soul.  I tell my 3 teens, who are now doubting their RC schooling and religion, ..."as you go through your life, you will experience things, if you pay attention, you will understand life, death, maybe afterlife, better." I tell them to pay attention, they too will see, someday unexplained happenings."

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?        No

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes she told me she was dead, going away, and I found out the next day it was indeed true.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            After retuning I was calm. After the phone call I was totally confused, I was not sad, knowing she was ok, someplace else, but immediate knew the pain it was going to cause her family.  I seemed to be calm though it all. The funeral and all seemed to land in my lap.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes

I believe now the dead can talk to us if we pay attention. we have no control over it though. I feel lucky to have seen 2 of these.

Did you become aware of future events?       Yes   just the next day, the call would confirm my experience.  She was telling me about taking care of her brother.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes  I left my body behind, I felt my body light, but with me and Kim, while I was sleeping, unable to move.

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?           not this night, only back in 1971

Did you see a light?          we traveled through the dark night...to the morgue

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?            No

Have you shared this experience with others?

Yes     none, just not accepted.  This is something you need to experience yourself our it can never be explained or understood.

Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?   No

Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?       People need to experience this to understand it does happen.  It cant be put into words, it sound unreal, crazy.  But how can this be explained, she came to me, as she died, before anyone even knew she was dead.

Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?            No

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No  never been reproduced.

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?           Yes

1971 my younger brother Robbie.  he was 13 killed in auto accident. I asked him to come to me in my dreams that night about a year later. I miss him.  I received much more then a dream. I felt I left my body, I saw him, behind a gate, he wanted to talk to me, but I became afraid and ran away, slammed back into my bed.

Did the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?               Yes
