It occurred about 2:30 AM in the early 1990s, a few years after my mothers passing.  I wasnt able to sleep, so I was sitting in the dark, watching TV.  Then from the next room came a white, florescent, smoke-like substance, moving with intentional volition about five feet from the floor.  It stopped immediately above from the TV, in my line of vision.  But even then it continued to energetically move within itself, glowing.  Simultaneously I felt joy, peace and love wash over me from head to toe, with the message You will be OK, telepathically communicated to me.  And as quickly as it entered, it returned to the room from where it came.  

From this brief encounter, I felt no fear or any discomfort.  It was as though it was perfectly natural, though at the time I had never heard of anything like this.  I turned and knocked on the end table, to verify I wasnt dreaming (being that in my dreams I could be hit by a train and not feel it), then got up from the sofa, pondering what just happened.  Then it came to me, like an answer to my wondering, Tell no one what just happened. If it was real, someone else will see it too. If you tell anyone else, you will never be sure, being that someone could just mess with me, making up a story for a laugh. 

So I kept it to myself.  Months went by, and then Steve, an old friend of mine who was going through a tough time stayed with me for a while.  He would sleep on the same sofa where I had the encounter.  One morning he came to me, beaming a big smile and said Guess what happened!  He then told me that he hadyou guessed ita very similar experience to mine. 

Was this about 2:30 in the morning? I asked. 

Yeah! 

Bingo!  Verification.  It was then I told Steve about my encounter.
