IT WAS A SATURDAY NIGHT, THREE DAYS ALMOST EXACTLY SINCE MY UNCLE HAD PASSED AWAY. I WAS HOUSE SITTING AND DOG SITTING FOR A RETIRED DETECTIVE. MY BOYFRIEND IS A POLICE OFFICER AND WORKS THE SWING SHIFT (2 P.M. TILL 230 A.M.), HE HAD JUST GOTTEN HOME FROM WORK. WE WERE LAYING IN BED WITH THE LIGHTS OFF, TALKING ABOUT HIS DAY. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE LIGHT ABOVE THE BED, (WHICH IS A SMALL DESK LIGHT FOR READING) TURNED ON. WE WERE BOTH KINDA SHOCKED BUT AS I MOVED MY HAND CLOSER THE LIGHT GOT BRIGHTER AND WHEN I MOVED EVEN CLOSER IT GOT BRIGHTER. THE LIGHT IS NOT A TOUCH LIGHT, WHERE YOU TOUCH IT AND IT GETS BRIGHTER. IT IS A PLAIN ON AND OFF LIGHT. MY BOYFRIEND REACHED OVER AND TURNED THE LIGHT OFF. WE BOTH WERE IN AWE, BUT I TOLD HIM, IT IS UNCLE JESSIE LETTING US KNOW HE IS OKAY. WE SAID OUR "I LOVE YOU'S " AND WENT TO SLEEP. AS I WAS FALLING ASLEEP I WAS SO HAPPY AND COULD FEEL HIS HAPPINESS. I WAS SO HAPPY TO HAVE HIM VISIT ME AND LET ME KNOW HE WAS OKAY....

THE SECOND TIME HAPPENED ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER AND I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. MY BRAKE LIGHT WAS ON SO I DECIDED TO CALL MY BOYFRIEND TO ASK HIM THE NUMBER FOR A BRAKE PLACE. HE GOT ON THE PHONE AND I ASKED HIM FOR THE NUMBER. I TOLD HIM THE PHONE BOOK WAS ON THE COUNTER, BUT TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THE ROSE THAT I HAD TAKEN FROM MY UNCLES FUNERAL WAS IN THE BOOK DRYING OUT SO THAT I COULD FRAME IT. HE PROCEEDED TO SAY, "YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE DIDN'T YOU?" I HADN'T ANY CLUE WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. I ASKED HIM "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" HE ASKED ME, "WHAT WAS YOUR UNCLES LAST NAME".  I REPLIED, "THE SAME AS MINE, GALVAN". HE SAID THE ROSE WAS PLACED IN THE DIRECTORY UNDER THE LAST NAME GALVAN. WE WERE BOTH SHOCKED AND LAUGHED. IT WAS GOOD OL' UNCLE JESSIE AGAIN LETTING US KNOW HE WAS OKAY.

MY BOYFRIEND DOES NOT BELIEVE IN ADC'S BUT I THINK WITH BOTH OF THESE COMMUNICATIONS HE IS SLOWLY BELIEVING. MY UNCLE IS MAKING HIM A BELIEVER!

THE REASON WHY I BELIEVE MY EXPERIENCE WAS REAL IS BECAUSE THE LIGHT THAT CAME ON GOT BRIGHTER AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GENERAL ON AND OFF LIGHT, WITHOUT ANY KIND OF THREE WAY, BECOME BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER.

  THE SECOND EXPERIENCE WAS JUST AS REAL BECAUSE THE ROSE FROM HIS FUNERAL WAS PLACED UNDER HIS LAST NAME WHICH I DIDN'T DO, I HAD OPENED THE BOOK AND PLACE THE ROSE IN AND MY BOYFRIEND WAS UNAWARE THAT I HAD PLACED THE ROSE IN THE BOOK..

I WAS UPSET OF COURSE BECAUSE MY UNCLE HAD JUST PASSED AWAY THREE DAYS PRIOR..

ON THE SECOND EXPERIENCE I MORE LAUGHED AND WAS HAPPIER BECAUSE I KNEW HE WAS OKAY AND MAKING ME LAUGH

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Yes

I KNEW HE WAS OKAY AND HAPPY TO FINALLY BE AT PEACE. HE WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN FOR THE PAST MONTHS THAT I KNOW HOW OUR OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS WHO HAD PASSED ON WELCOMED HIM WITH OPEN ARMS INTO HEAVEN.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      THE BEST PART WAS THAT I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO EXPERIENCE ANYTHING FROM MY UNCLE AND BEING THE FIRST NIECE IT WAS LIKE I WAS SOMEONE SPECIAL TO HIM. HE REALLY MADE ME FEEL HAPPY BECAUSE I FINALLY KNEW HE WAS AT PEACE AND SPENDING IT WITH THE LORD. I KNEW THAT HW WAS SMILING AND LAUGHING FROM ABOVE. THERE WASN'T ANY NEGATIVITY INVOLVED. BOTH OF THESE EXPERIENCES WERE GOOD ONES.

NO THE DECEASED EXPERIENCE WAS NOT IN THE COMPACT. I MADE A COMPACT WITH MY BOYFRIEND TO CONTACT HIM AFTER I WAS DECEASED TO LET HIM KNOW THAT THERE REALLY WAS LIFE AFTER DEATH AND THAT I WAS OKAY.

I TOLD MY WHOLE FAMILY, AND THEY WERE ALL SO HAPPY KNOWING THAT MY UNCLE WAS OKAY. THEY COULD ONLY SMILE AND LAUGH AT KNOWING THAT HE WAS HAPPY AND SMILING ALSO.
