I was asleep in bed and my boyfriend woke and went to the toilet and I heard the telephone ring I sat up reached onto his side of the bed and picked the receiver up, my nana's voice said "hello Paula" I scanned my brain and thought how does my Nan know I am here , did I give her this number, I had not long moved in, I said "hello Nan!" she said "hello Paula" again and again and at that point it dawned on me that my Nan was dead, my boyfriend walked into the room and said what are you doing, I looked down into my hands and realized we did not have a phone in the bedroom, I said My Nan just rang me"

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           I recognized my Nan's voice straight away and was pondering on how she knew my telephone number

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           NO

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   No

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            No

Did you see the deceased?         No

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         beginning and a middle

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  No she did not

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was probably real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           It was my Nan's voice and I had had previous experiences when just awaking or within dreams that had information of a third party that I could have not consciously or unconsciously known .

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           I was confused as to how she had my number I had just woke up so felt a bit foggy and was in my head going over our relation and where we were between us at this present time, once I realized Nan had died before I had moved in my boyfriend walked in and the connection was broke. I have had another experience also connecting to my Nan that was sent a few months after.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Yes

It gave me faith that the soul carries on, not in text book god but in the renewal of the soul.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Still not knowing the truth

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?  No       Not this one but others have had direct messages from deceased

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes But not this experience

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Happy, bewildered and a little confused as to how she had contacted me, I did not realize until the very end of the phone call that she had died as I recollected it ended.

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?           Yes

My Partner came back in the bedroom to ask me what I was doing sitting up, I knew it was strange what I was going to tell him but I knew it was real

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   No

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes

I did but in another experience a man in a white robe told me why the planets were the way they are, and showed me a red star, I woke wanting to write down what I had learnt, I felt the importance was in par with finding a cure to cancer, once I woke fully it faded away. Afterwards however I experienced life fully, this lasted approx 3 months, things seemed brighter, stars more beautiful and music when waking sounded heavenly!

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?    Yes but not in this experience

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?           Yes 

when I was little I had a few experiences of travelling from my bed and down the stairs out the house, sometimes out the window, but I would only go as far as the street in case I could not get back in my body, I was 5 or 6 when I had these and when I told my self go back or else you could get lost and not get back to your self, I do not know why I thought that as my family were not spiritual in any sense.
