Was this experience difficult to express in words?  Yes

I knew that people would think me strange, if not crazy. I was not believed by my psychiatrists until I finally printed some pictures a year after taking them.

I now think they do believe me. One has told me that I have a gift.  All three have cautioned me against discussing this with others because they would definitely not believe me. I now have over 600 pictures, and a wealth of knowledge. I would love to share all that I have learned.

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          Yes

            Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:    My experience was progressive.  Initially I heard sounds in the attic, then through out the house at night, mostly. I saw Laurie soon after during the night. She had an electrical sparking about her head which increased when she realized I was frightened. She suddenly disappeared. I later heard sobbing coming from the attic. The next night I felt soft touching and kisses on my face. I knew that it was Laurie. When I was able to open my eyes, I could not stop smiling.  I had never felt so loved in my life. So much more I cannot write at this time.

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?  I heard sounds. Saw my daughter in many different forms. She responded to my voice and seemed startled that I could see her. We could always communicate but she did not speak to me.  She did respond non-verbally whenever I spoke to her.

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           Her personality remains as it was in life.  I have heard her voice speaking to other spirits. It is deeper than in life. She has never spoken to me verbally.

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           I considered many things at first: for example, I wondered if a homeless person had found his way into my attic.  I ruled out everything I could think of. Once I started seeing her every night in various forms, I no longer had any doubts.

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   no

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            Yes

On the face, legs , and feet.

            Was the touch familiar or unfamiliar?   Her touch was not familiar, but her actions and personality were. She took different forms, and slept under the covers, at the foot of my bed for two years as a small, furry, animal.

            Was anything communicated by the touch?  Just that she wanted to be with me.

            Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?  no

Did you see the deceased?         Yes

SMALL, WEIGHED VERY LITTLE, TOOK DIFFERENT FORMS.

            How clearly did the deceased appear?            I saw her clearly in both solid and transparent forms.  All of the spirits can appear as small as they want, or as big. They change from one form to another easily. Laurie has all of the characteristics of the other spirits.

            How much of the deceased did you see?       I have seen them naked and dressed, or covered with fur.

            Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?       I know my daughter has changed.  I assume the others have as well.

            How healthy did the deceased appear to be?            My daughter was cremated following death. She appeared initially as she did in life.  She had more aging around the mouth, and all spirits seem to have unusual

tooth arrangement.

            Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           no

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      Yes

            What smell, scent, fragrance or odor did you smell?           I have so many spirits in my house, sometimes I think that I smell a musty odor.

I am not really sure.

            Was the smell, scent, fragrance or odor familiar?     It sort of reminds me of being in Carlsbad Caverns.

            Was anything communicated by the smell?   no

            Is there any possibility that the smell, scent, fragrance or odor was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?        no

How long did the experience last?        It sometimes is present when I first walk into my house after being gone for several hours.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?         The experience goes on.  I recognize many of the spirits on sight.  I speak to them. Winking is a form of greeting. I respond to them and they respond to me.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  Yes.  Laura and other spirits have shown me video like pictures on the wall to provide information about various events.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           I believe Laurie knew that my grief was overwhelming so she came to me in death just as she would have in life. I feel so privileged to be able to see and communicate with the spirits.  I learn more everyday about them. I talk to them, and get them to come to me. I even see them outside on my patio, etc. I hope my knowledge will be shared with others someday.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:           My feelings have ranged from fear initially to wonder as I witness the spirit world.

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?           Yes

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      The best part has been seeing my daughter,  watch her grow and be happy in her new life.

The worst part was my initial fear.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes                 Describe:      I am more motivated to continue learning. I am also sad that I can only share with psychiatrists. This is my first attempt to communicate on life after death.

I saw Dr. Long on Fox News tonight. I was inspired by his ability to write and speak on the subject. I wonder if others have had my experience.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     I have no fear of spirits or death.

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?            Yes     I know lots about the spirit world - still learning. The experience has been both frightening and joyful.  I have many questions unanswered.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?        No

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes My pictures have verified many things. I am not a skilled photographer, but they often verify previous stories told and documented in my psychiatrist's notes.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Generally happy and eager to learn. I find it difficult to sleep because they like to find a comfortable place to cover up and sleep - both people and animals.

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?           Not initially, but over three years I have provided pictures to my psychiatrists

and friends.  I have been subjected to brain scan, battery of tests, and meet weekly with one psychiatrist, every 3 months with another. They all agree that I am normal and intelligent.  No dementia. One has encouraged me to write a book or contact Stephen Spielberg. I can actually see the spirits, pet them, and communicate with them. I see both people and animals. I have learned an enormous amount, and have no fear of these spirits.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   No

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes

I have a strong urge to share most of what I know with others.

Did you become aware of future events?       Yes

I believe that the spirits were truthful when answering my questions. Some related to afterlife. When I asked if I should share certain answers about the spirit world and religious questions, they all agreed that I should not.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes

I see and communicate with spirits. They seem like just people and animals to me.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?            Yes

Numerous spirits, animal and human live in my house.

Did you see a light?           No

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?            Yes

Laurie and other human and animal spirits go everywhere I go. They spent Christmas with my other daughters and me in NC. I did not tell my daughters. 

They could not see the spirits, but I did take pictures.

Have you shared this experience with others?        

Yes     I have been completely evaluated by my psychiatrists. My story was found fascinating, but unbelievable until I produced pictures.  I have now been encouraged to write a book or perhaps have my story made into a movie. I would much rather have a serious scientific study.  I would even allow someone to visit my home to study my friends. I would like to find someone who can also see spirits.

 Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?       So many experiences that have made me smile, laugh, and cry. This form is just a very small part of what I have experienced.

Were there any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?            No

I was given Prestiq 50mg daily for depression and unresolved grief. I continue to take it, but my grief is resolved now that I know my daughter is happy and we are able to communicate.
