Experience description:  

She was sitting in the rocking chair like she would have done if I had trouble going to sleep and was working on something.  She always embroidered linens when she was alive so I assume that's what she was doing. I saw her another time after that. She never spoke to me, was just there. Have had other experiences since then with other relatives and 2 that were not relatives. Have also had 2 recently that were women but I don't know who they are.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Okay with her presence at first, but then realized she died and was scared not understanding how she could still be with me if she had passed.

Did you see the deceased?         Yes

looked the same as when alive; long sleeve dress to just below the knee, shoes, dress buttoned up to her neck, glasses.  She had lost toes prior to her death because of diabetes but seemed to be "whole".

            How clearly did the deceased appear?            appeared more solid than transparent

            How much of the deceased did you see?       whole body

            Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?       appeared to be a tad younger

            How healthy did the deceased appear to be?            appeared to be in better health

Ran to my parents to tell them she was sitting in my room in the rocking chair. They didn't believe me.

Yes     parents didn't believe me until similar experiences happened later. Now they ask me if "so and so" has been to see me after someone passes.

EXPERIENCE #2 DESCRIPTION:

I woke to find Mary standing at the end of my bed.  It was light all around her.  Her dark hair was shiny and she was dressed in a plain robe style dress with long sleeves. The space behind her just seemed to go on forever. She had had many heart surgeries before she passed away in April 1980 and was telling me she was fine and felt great and didn't hurt anymore. She was smiling and her happiness filled the room.

Was this experience difficult to express in words?  No

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?          Yes

            Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:    In a very clear voice she said "Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I don't hurt anymore." Her smile was beaming and genuine.

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?  I heard her speak, just like a normal person would speak.

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           Sounded the same.

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   no

She was standing at the end of my bed.

            How clearly did the deceased appear?            very clearly

            How much of the deceased did you see?       from about thighs up. She was standing at the end of my bed.

            Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?       same age

            How healthy did the deceased appear to be?            Very healthy. No dark circles under her eyes. She had suffered from heart trouble from a very early age.

            Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           no
