This experience was happened to my Mom in front of my eyes. I was just back for summer holidays from my Engineering college. It was around 4 PM in the evening. I was reading some book, my sister was taking rest. My Dad was also sitting in a chair, looking on some accounts. My Mom was sleeping. 

Suddenly my Mom woke, She started welcoming her mom. We got confused. My Mom asked my sister to bring coffee for her grandma, We were literally confused and shook her to bring to reality.  

She thought it may be a dream. 

With in another hour we got the news from my grandma's village saying she died at 4:00PM. As there was n telephone, a person came to home carrying the message. 

As my mother was only daughter in the entire big family we thought she came to see her for a last moment. 

There were two more events she told to me.  

One was in 2000 September 17th, My mother saw my DAD who died in the Hospital due to Cancer. I may not consider that as she was knowing he was in bad condition. She told my Dad came and knocked the door at early morning almost the same time when my Father expired. I was in US on that time. As soon as I got a call from Hospital, The incident was told to me by mom when I called her back immediately. She had a idea, something happened to my dad. 

In 2006 November 4th My elder Brother (Her elder son) died due to Brain fever. She was not knowing the seriousness of his health, This also happened early morning 5:00 AM. She told my brother came and knocked the door. When I came back to take her, with out telling her my brother died she was sure that he was dead. 

Though I can discard the recent events as a instinct, the first one was totally unexpected. 

My Mom died on 2008, September 8th, I happened to visit this sight only yesterday. Hence I thought of sharing.

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           It was calling voice

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           No

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?   No

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?            No

Did you see the deceased?         Yes

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?      No

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           No

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  None.. Just like came to see.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?           Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:           Because, It was not any thing haunting in the background of mind. We all were not even thinking about our Grandma.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   Yes

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Not much to comment here.

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?  Uncertain            The Body and soul may be different, May be soul has its own existence.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?        No

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes We were 3 people watching it. As I am one of the verifiers

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            May be a dream. But a small hunch in the back of the mind.

When my mom had this experience I was reading my Engineering books. My sister and father also in there.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Uncertain

This is when I was around 14 years old. I was uncertain on that time about God. I had tremendous fear about death. Once in the early morning I felt I am dead and look my body from top. 

But nothing happened. I thought that may be a dream. (This is my experience)
