After his death, it was my daughter's birthday and she was very sad and opening a doll that he had picked out for her prior to his death. She started crying and clutching the doll. We had to go to a family shelter and that night, we had a feeling of being watched in our room. We stayed there until after Christmas. Up until that time, I felt as if something was touching me while I lay in bed at night. Like a hug. (He used to hold me while we slept). Christmas Eve night my daughter had been given a little white bear that played Silent Night in hopes to console her. (She was 6 1/2 at the time). You had to squeeze hard on the stomach of the bear to get it to play the song. That night it was on the foot of her bed and began to play the song over and over all night. We could not stop it. Objects started showing up that had been left in Arizona inside purse and other boxes. 

We moved to a hotel for a month before our housing unit was ready and the kids had a play keyboard that would play three or four notes during the night over and over and there were no batteries in it.  

We moved into our housing unit of 3 bedrooms and this is when the occurrences really started. I would hear voices of a man and a woman talking in the next room at night and the TV. was off , radio was off, and there was no one there. We would see that things out of order (clutter) would be neatly arranged. (Gary was a very neat person and so was his mother). My TV. would have interference at times with two white wavy lines and the volume would turn way up or down when this occurred. You would turn off the TV. and it would immediately turn back on by itself. Sometimes when I was on my computer at night, I would "feel" like someone was behind me. Sometimes I would feel a touch on my arm or cheek when I was upset or in pain. We had a chair that would mysteriously move when you left the room into a different position. Eventually, the chair broke completely and was sturdy. We started seeing "orbs in threes in different colors" in pictures of myself and the children. Especially around my daughter. My house would be unseasonably "cold" said the neighbors and they said they had seen a man's shadow in the window. Things that were on top of the refrigerator like foil would fly across the floor when the kids and I were arguing. When I was about to go into labor from my pregnancy, my suitcase and stuffed animals, baby clothes would mysteriously show up on the changing table and urged to be in my suitcase. That very night I went into labor 2 weeks late. I was pregnant with Gary's child (which I later lost when Sean died at birth-unexplained).  A spirit medium was called in and said that I had three spirits. One of Gary, his mother, and his step brother. They were more Angelic and he was more ghostly or Earthbound. They were there to take him "home". The medium blessed my home and things seem to stop. I thought my life was going to be normal. I was very upset and had trouble coping with it and would not date or trust other men. I had a dream about Gary at the foot of my bed holding a baby and smiling reasurredly.  No other events happened at the house after that time. 

All was well until I moved to an apartment (2 bedroom) - the kids had to share a room, and I had a roommate. A woman who was a friend and had no one in her life and had recently lost her daughter (custody). Then things started back up again. The TV. interference., the stereo turning up loud when Lynnerd Skynnerd or Led Zeppelin played mysteriously. Shadows, golden lights at night in the corner, things being straightened up or messed up. Objects appearing from Arizona again. My roommate and I  were pushed to the curb safely mysteriously when a huge truck ran a red light and almost hit us while crossing the street. The kids swear they saw "Gary" watching them at the playground at school. My roommate and I were walking to the store one day and passed a man standing by a truck and I swear it was "Gary". Even wearing the same clothes he died in. He was reading something and glanced up at us and smiled reassuringly. Oddly enough, this was the same day that we had almost been run over and saved. Guardian Angel? or Caring Ghost? 

Well, of course I by that time was being asked on dates by men and when I would have one over to the apartment for dinner, the weird things would happen. Like the bedroom door mysteriously locking so I could not get in while the man was asking to use the other bathroom. Once the maintenance men encountered the same thing when they were there to work on an a leaking toilet. We also encountered dripping faucets that would not drain when there was no reason for them not to. Doors would open themselves. When a nice man was there, we had no occurrences. Such as when I met my now fianc. 

The kids and I moved in with my fianc and my roommate found another roommate. We had no events or occurrences at his trailer for 6 months. 

Recently, we moved into a house we bought together, we are engaged to be married on Nov. 25, 2005, and I will be the step mother to a 19 yr old girl.

There was a bad storm (hurricane) with a blue orb seen outside our house (we have the picture). After that time, things started happening again. I saw a puff of smoke that smelled like cigarette smoke coming out of the vent close to my computer on night - there is nothing up there but the attic. There was no fire or explanation for it. I closed the vent and it hasn't happened again. Recently, my feelings of being watched, touched, things being straightened up, those two band mysteriously being turned up on the radio, crashes in the garage and the light on, captured humming on EVP equipment the 19 yr old has (she is a firm believer of the paranormal and a ghost hunter and researcher), she was talking to me as I sat by my computer and she saw a whitish/golden orb fly by me. Her boyfriend who is like her, set up his video camera toward the computer and nothing showed up on film, yet the EVP's show noise at night when no one is around. Like the microphone being tapped and sometimes turned off when it was on. Our neighbor is complaining about cigarette butts and empty packs in their yard of the very brand Gary smoked three packs a day of. A different brand than the 19 yr old or her boyfriend smoke. Recently, the 19 yr old was in her upstairs room (over our room downstairs). We were asleep and she said her floor shook like a broom handle or something was being hit against it because she was playing her stereo a bit louder than she should at that hour. She turned down her stereo and could hear a male and female voice arguing and a door slamming. Should thought it was my fianc and I. We were deeply asleep and heard nothing. I strongly feel that "Eileen" is back after I prayed last night for God to take Gary to heaven and bring him peace that I didn't need him I was loved and so was the kids and we were happy. This occurrence happened 15 minutes after my prayer.

Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?         

Yes

            Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:  

An EVP of humming like a monster like he did when he played with the kids. The kids and my fianc were in the kitchen getting ready for school at the time when the EVP was picked up. The 19 yr old and I were asleep and it was early morning around 6:30 .am. Sometimes at night I smell cigarette smoke around my computer and old spice - his aftershave.

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated? 

Around me.

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?          

The humming was exactly like the sound he used to make with the kids and showed up loud on the EVP as if the mike was picked up and hummed into.

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?          

No explanations on any occurrence.

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?  

none. I am not on medication. Am sane and able to distinguish reality from fantasy.

Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?           

Yes

As I mentioned earlier, a feeling of being held while I slept for awhile and a touch on my hand or face. Very caring and softly and tender each time.

            Was the touch familiar or unfamiliar?  

Very familiar.

            Was anything communicated by the touch? 

Caring and love and reassurance.

            Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience? 

None. No cobwebs or anything that could disprove.

Did you see the deceased?        

Yes

As I mentioned earlier, in my dreams - vivid meetings where we talk and he is in the clothes he died in. The time I saw his apparition in the flesh for 1 minute on my way to the store and when I looked back, it was gone.

            How clearly did the deceased appear?            Solid like a regular man in life.

            How much of the deceased did you see?       The entire body.

            Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?       He looked exactly the same age that he died.

            How healthy did the deceased appear to be?            He was not pale. Seemed normal and in perfect health.

            Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?           Unknown. The man, if not Gary that I saw was his exact twin, down to the exact shirt and pants and boots and even wearing a cap the kids had given him.

Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?     

Yes

            What smell, scent, fragrance or odor did you smell?          

Cigarette smoke and sometimes Old Spice Aftershave.

            Was the smell, scent, fragrance or odor familiar?    

Very.

            Was anything communicated by the smell?  

That he was around mostly.

            Is there any possibility that the smell, scent, fragrance or odor was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?       

Unknown. No one is allowed to smoke in my house and no one uses that type of aftershave.

How long did the experience last?       

It usually last momentarily like a minute and then gone.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?        

Sudden usually. Sometimes gradual with occurrences getting stronger each time. Sometimes days go by with nothing, sometimes every day.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?          

Yes

I feel jealousy, love and caring.

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know? 

Yes, in my dream he told me he was murdered - poisoned. He went before his time. He was supposed to live 2 more weeks.

Experience was definitely real

After seeing his "Apparition" by the truck, I was happier and began to date again. I felt "safe".

Gary is earthbound spirit and not ready to go to heaven - tied to us and doesn't want to go.

My children (ages 9 and 11-girl and boy) have experienced his presence and recently, my future 19 yr old step-daughter, her boyfriend and my fianc in this house. Before then, just myself and my children and sometimes neighbors.

I seem to feel more when a spirit is around me and my interest in the paranormal has increased.

Yes     The 19 yr old is intrigued and helping me investigate. My fianc is neutral and open to life after death possibility. The children are used to the occurrences and shrugging their shoulders like "not again" attitude.

When I was in my room at my parents house with the kids after a divorce and upset, I smelled my deceased Grandmother's "Cloe" perfume in my room and felt reassured and calm. This happened 3 yrs before I met Gary.
