Experience description:

I STARTED TO DRIFT INTO THE SLEEP STATE BUT BEFORE I LOST CONSCIOUSNESS I WAS VIEWING A SCENE SO I HELD ON TO THE BORDERLINE TO SEE MORE. ANIMALS OF A KIND I HADN'T SEEN BEFORE, WERE GRAZING IN A VERY PLEASANT AREA. THEY HAD LONG NECKS AND SEEMED QUITE DOCILE. I REMEMBER THINKING," AM I SOMEWHERE THAT NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN BEFORE, OR IS IT MY IMAGINATION". THE PEACE WAS SHATTERED BY A LOUD ROAR AND I SAW VEHICLES WITH BRIGHT LIGHTS RUSHING TOWARDS THE SCENE AT GREAT SPEED. THE ANIMALS STARTED TO PANIC AND I SENSED THEIR FEAR AND WANTED TO GET AWAY.

THE NEXT MOMENT I WAS AT A VERY DIFFERENT LOCATION, IT WAS QUITE FOGGY, GREY AND GLOOMY. I REALIZED THAT I WAS NOW IN MY ASTRAL. THE REASON BEING I WAS WALKING, AS OPPOSED TO JUST VIEWING OR 'LOOKING IN'. IT SEEMED AS IF I WAS PASSING THROUGH A SMALL VILLAGE BECAUSE I NOTICED COTTAGES BUT THEY WERE NOT THE QUAINT TYPE, THEY LOOKED GREY BLEAK AND ISOLATED.

THREE PEOPLE PASSED BY ME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD. THE ONE THAT CAME NEAREST TO ME WAS FEMALE AND SHE WORE A SHAWL AROUND HER SHOULDERS AND HEAD AS IF SHE DID NOT WANT ANYONE TO SEE HER. ALL OF THEM HUNG THEIR HEADS AND SEEMED OBLIVIOUS AND DISINTERESTED. I HEARD A NOISE AND REALIZED THAT SOMEONE WAS WALKING BESIDE ME.

THEN A MALE VOICE ASKED ME WHERE I WAS GOING. I TURNED MY HEAD TO THE LEFT TO SEE THE PERSON AND ALTHOUGH HE LOOKED QUITE NORMAL I FELT UNEASY. HE HAD HIS HANDS IN HIS POCKETS AND HE WAS SWAGGERING. WITHOUT THINKING I TOLD HIM I WAS LOOKING FOR MY BROTHER. HE SAID HE KNEW WHERE HE WAS AND HE WOULD TAKE ME TO HIM. HE LEANED TOWARDS TO TOUCH ME AND I KNEW I HAD TO GET AWAY. I PUSHED HIM AWAY WITH MY LEFT ARM AND STARTED TO RUN AS FAST AS I COULD. I CARRIED ON RUNNING UNTIL I FELT IT SAFE TO STOP.

WHEN I LOOKED AROUND IT SEEMED AS IF I WAS NOW IN A WORSE POSITION. I WAS COMPLETELY ISOLATED. THERE WAS A GREY FOG SURROUNDING ME AS FAR AS I COULD SEE AND ALTHOUGH I KNEW WHERE I WAS, LOWER ASTRAL, NOTHING WAS HAPPENING I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO GET MYSELF BACK. I THOUGHT OF THOMAS, MY BROTHER, AND THE GRIEF I FELT WHEN HE DIED CAME BACK. I STRETCHED MY ARMS OUT IN FRONT OF ME AND CALLED OUT HIS NAME TWICE I WAS VERY EMOTIONAL. I LOOKED AHEAD OF ME FOR A FEW SECONDS AND NOTICED A SWIRLING MOVEMENT IN THE THICK MIST. SOMETHING WAS HAPPENING AND I FELT VULNERABLE AND APPREHENSIVE.

A FIGURE STARTED TO EMERGE FROM THE FOG. FIRST A LOWER LEG, THEN AN ARM AND SO ON UNTIL THIS FIGURE CAME STRIDING TOWARDS ME. IT WAS IN THE DISTANCE AND TOOK MANY STRIDES BEFORE I BEGAN TO SEE CLEARLY AND I WAS LONGING TO SEE THE FACE OF THIS PERSON. NEXT MOMENT THERE HE WAS, THOMAS, MY BROTHER WITH HIS UNMISTAKABLE PLAYFUL GRIN AND LOOKING FIT AND HEALTHY AS HE DID WHEN HE WAS A YOUNG MAN IN HIS TWENTIES.

HE TOOK HOLD OF MY WRISTS, THEY WERE STILL HELD OUT IN FRONT OF ME, AND I WAS SO OVERWHELMED AT SEEING HIM I LET OUT A CRY WHICH, UNFORTUNATELY, BROUGHT ME RIGHT BACK TO MY BED, WOKE MY HUSBAND UP, AND LEFT ME AMAZED BECAUSE I COULD STILL FEEL MY BROTHERS HANDS GRIPPING MY WRISTS. IT WAS SUCH AN EXHILARATING EXPERIENCE THAT I COULD HARDLY SLEEP. THE LAST WORDS HE SPOKE TO ME BEFORE GOING INTO HOSPITAL FOR TESTS WERE, "I CAN'T WALK TWO YARDS WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF BREATH".

WE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO EXCHANGE WORDS BUT I KNEW HE HAD HEARD ME AND CAME TO MY RESCUE.

Experience was definitely real

I HAVE HAD VERY MANY EXPERIENCES OVER THE YEARS AND ANALYZED THEM ALL AS I DID MY CATHOLIC INDOCTRINATION. I HAD ALREADY COME TO TERMS WITH MY ATHEISTIC VIEW WHILE STILL AT SCHOOL. BUT THESE KIND OF EXPERIENCES HAPPEN SPONTANEOUSLY NOT BECAUSE I WANT THEM TO. MY BELIEF NOW IS THAT THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON THAT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE (ESPECIALLY SCIENTISTS) ARE UNAWARE OF.

I WASN'T AWARE THAT I NEEDED ANY EMOTIONAL HEALING, BUT THE EXPERIENCE LEFT ME FEELING THAT MY BROTHER WAS FIT, WELL AND ENJOYING HIS NEW ENVIRONMENT.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?     

THE WORST PART WAS FEELING ISOLATED AND VULNERABLE.

THE BEST PART WAS MEETING MY BROTHER.

JUST HOW MARVELOUS IT IS TO BE ABLE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH LOVED ONES. I ONLY WISH MY SIBLINGS COULD HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCES.

GOD - THAT IS THE QUESTION! HOW CAN ONE EVER KNOW. MY DEFINITION TO DATE IS THAT THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING IN AND AROUND IT INCLUDING THE BADDIES AND THE GOODIES EMANATES FROM ONE SOURCE - GOD OR NUCLEUS. HOW CAN GOD BE A BEING?

I WAS IN A LOCATION OTHER THAN WHERE MY PHYSICAL BODY LAY SO MY SPACE ALTERED IN THAT RESPECT.

I WAS AWARE THAT MY BODY WAS ASLEEP IN BED ALTHOUGH I DID NOT EXPERIENCE THE SEPARATION THAT USUALLY OCCURS WHEN I SOBE.

JUST A FEW IN THE FAMILY WHO KNOW THAT I HAVEN'T COMPLETELY LOST IT.

THEY SEEMED INTERESTED ESPECIALLY MY DAUGHTER.

Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?          

Yes 

MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WAS AT THE AGE OF TWELVE WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO SAVE MY BROTHER FROM DROWNING. HE STARTED TO PANIC AND WAS CLIMBING ALL OVER ME. I GOT PUSHED UNDER THE WATER AND SAW THREE PEOPLE OBSERVING ME WHILE I STRUGGLED. THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE WAS SEATED. THE ONE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HER/HIM SAID, IN A VERY CALM VOICE, "SHE'S DROWNING". THE SEATED PERSON REPLIED, "NO SHE WILL BE ALRIGHT". MY BROTHER AND I WERE BOTH RESCUED AND CONSCIOUS WHEN PULLED OUT OF THE WATER. AS SOON AS I RECOVERED ENOUGH I MADE A BEE-LINE FOR MY BROTHER AND SLAPPED HIM FOR BEING SO STUPID AS TO JUMP IN THE DEEP END OF THE POOL WHEN HE COULDN'T EVEN SWIM. THEN I STARTED TO FEEL REALLY ANGRY THAT THE PEOPLE OBSERVING ME WERE SO CALM WHILE I WAS FIGHTING TO STAY ALIVE. I DID NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT WHAT I HAD SEEN OR HEARD AND IT WAS ONLY YEARS LATER THAT I UNDERSTOOD THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IT.

I HAVE HAD MANY SOBEs AND A FEW PRECOGNITIVE DREAMS.
