Experience description:

My experience occurred during sleep in the middle of the night (it was dark outside). I don't remember the beginning but I was walking up a hill on a nice warm afternoon. Probably the whole of my family was waiting there for me (I distinctly remember my parents, aunt and

grandma from my father's side and grandparents from my mother's side). Although I haven't spoken to anybody of the present living people in years (coming from a dysfunctional background), our mutual feelings were positive, as if nothing bad ever happened. On the top of the hill there were my deceased grandma and grandpa. My grandma said: 'Look the moon is beautiful.' There was a huge moon looming over the hill. Then she took my head into her lap and caressed me as she used to when I was a boy. It was very comforting.  When I woke up I could feel an energy in the room and being pulled out of my body (sort of magnetically). I got a bit scared but at the same time realized the significance of the dream and calmed down. This is only the second dream I had with my deceased grandma.

I used to be an avid lucid dreamer (mostly had lucid dreams in daylight), had one OBE and more instances of being pulled out of my body during sleep that were not consciously triggered by me (but was always able to stop at will). The reason I consider this to be an after death contact is the being-pulled-out sensation that woke me up (and not the urge to go to the toilet, that usually wakes me up), the meaningful timing and the precognitive aspect of the dream: indeed in one Moon's time my general life situation improved significantly.

 Was this experience difficult to express in words?     No

 Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?          No

 Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?       Yes

           Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:          I heard it very clearly, probably the only thing spoken during the contact: 'Look, the moon is beautiful.'

           Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?          It was a part of a dreamscape / other plane. I didn't realize I was in a dream at the moment.

           If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?    Well, that I don't remember at all. Although, I think it would surprise me if the voice of my grandma wouldn't correspondent to her actual voice. As a singer I am quite good at recognizing voices.

           Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience? Absolutely not, I was sleeping in a hostel room with 7 other people (none of them speaking Slovak). And my experience had a distinct plot

           Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?       No

 Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?       Yes

 My grandma took me in her lap, and caressed my hair

            Was the touch familiar or unfamiliar? very familiar

           Was anything communicated by the touch? comfort

            Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience? absolutely not

 Did you see the deceased?       Yes

 Looked as I remembered them, in their 70s, my grandpa could walk

            How clearly did the deceased appear?            Solid

            How much of the deceased did you see?       We were all standing on a hilltop, I don't remember the clothing details

            Did the deceased appear or not appear to be the age at which they died?   My grandma was at the age of her death. My grandpa was at the age before his stroke.

            How healthy did the deceased appear to be?           They seemed to be healthy old people. And my grandpa could walk.

            Is there any possibility what you saw was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience? No although, prior to the experience (am not sure if it was in the same year) I heard about the concept of birth-group incarnation (don't remember the actual terminology): Where the same group of people incarnate together over more lives.

 Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased? No

 How long did the experience last?      5 minutes + 1 minute after waking up

 Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?      Beginning gradual, end sudden (awoken by the pull)

 Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?          Yes

 positive, welcoming, caring

 Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?          the information that my situation will improve in one month's time. Although this might be my wishful thinking. And the moon had no connection with a month (although the words 'month' and 'moon' are the same in Slovakian).

 How do you currently view the reality of your experience?          Experience was definitely real

           Was the experience dream like in any way?  Yes

 in that it happened during sleep. But otherwise it seemed real. And the magnetic sensation after my waking up was definitely real. I wonder what would have happened if I'd surrendered and let my soul be pulled out. I was a chicken and maybe that was a mistake to not follow through with the experience. I have a tendency like this. Once I had a lucid dream in which I jumped into the sun. After 2 minutes I got afraid of losing my self in it and struggled to get out of it...         

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:  Very nice and relieving. Was happy to see my deceased grandparents.

 Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience? Yes

 Confirmation that God exists, that my family cares, that my life is being watched and I can get support from the other side

 What was the best and worst part of your experience?     Best was being caressed, worst was being pulled of my body without my consent/prior warning

 Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? No     

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience? No      Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?   Yes          Probably the confirmation that no matter what harm we incur or is incurred by us, we still love each other as a default state. This is still very difficult for me to process in the waking life, as the love for my wife caused disastrous problems for me and my baby-daughter.

 Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?         No

 Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?         Yes Improvement in my custody-battle in a month's time. Implementation of joint custody


 What emotions did you feel during the experience?         Fear, gratefulness, and feeling of not being abandoned

 Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?          No

 Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  No

 Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?         Yes

 I felt touched by God

 Did you become aware of future events?      Yes

 Yes, of improvement of my situation in a month's time

 Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience? Uncertain

Well probably, my dreams have become more precognitive. Due to lack of (honestly) effort I don't keep my dream journal in order.

But it might be that after the experience the frequency of my precognitive dreams increased. Mostly I have dreams of the details of the coming day. Currently I suffer from lack of sleep due to working long hours etc. and take my gift - lightly, which I probably shouldn't.

 Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?  Uncertain

 On waking up, but i stopped it at willDid you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?         Yes

 My parents + my father's mother and sister (I don't speak with any of them)

 Did you see a light?        Uncertain

 There was twilight, but i only remember seeing the Moon

 Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?     Yes

 The other part in the hostel

  Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience? No

 Did you ever in your life have a near-death experience, out of body experience or other spiritual event?     Yes 

Had a willed OBE probably at the age of 17, after that some willed instances of semi-OBE, sleep-paralysis. Never as clear as the first one.  I will send you a detailed description of my OBE on your OBE site.

Maybe if I wouldn't be a father I would be more willing to 'risk' any possible labeling as a 'crazy' person. It's not that I don't trust you. I love your website and your great effort but coming from the IT (your website doesn't use the secure protocol) I don't want this information to somehow be eavesdropped. Sorry, for the paranoia.
