Experience description:

Approximately a year after my fathers death in 1976, or 1977 I went to sleep. I found myself floating on waves in the ocean, the water was magnificent of a wonderful blue color. I was floating cradled by the waves. There have been sensations but my body wasn't there.

Then by telepathy I heard my father, I only saw his face, he told me not to worry. I remained there, still cradled by those sparkling waves and felt like I didn't want to go back. At a certain moment I was asked if I wanted to stay? I felt so good but this question made me understand that this was not normal and I got scared. Fear because I understood that I could decide to die. And bingo I woke up, disoriented but extremely appeased.

In the morning I talked with my mother about this, who told me that during the night she felt something like a kiss in her neck. She was sure that it was from my father.

This changed my life for ever. On the other hand I didn't tell anybody for years. Now I'm starting to talk about, why should I keep this for myself as it is so beautiful.

Colors had been extraordinary. Sometimes it happens that I long to go back. Anyhow I'm not scared of death anymore, as I know that there is something coming after.

I wanted to share this episode of my life because in this precise case, it's not an NDE, unless I stopped breathing during sleep.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes      Colors were different of colors in daily life and we talked by thoughts.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No   
What emotions did you feel during the experience?    Everything was so calm and appeasing.   
Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No   
Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes    Before seeing my fathers face I first saw a radiant light that I took at first for the sun.
Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
The voice asking me if I wanted to stay.
Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No   
Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   Yes    My father deceased since about a year.
Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No   
Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   Some unfamiliar and strange place
It was so very strange being in the ocean, suddenly, to feel yourself floating and not seeing your body.
Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning
I had the impression that it took only five or 10 minutes.
Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No
Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Uncertain  I don't really know. I was asked if I wanted to stay.
Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a definite conscious decision to return to life
I was only 17, I did not really want to stay there. There was still everything to discover.
Did scenes from the future come to you?  No  
During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes    This was very clear. My father 'told' me via thought that he was okay. There was no possible doubt anymore. Life after death exists definitely.
During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Uncertain    He exists for sure, but I don't know exactly. Anyhow there is something.
During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   No   
During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   Yes    My father wanted to let me know that everything was fine.
During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   No   
Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   No   
What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience    At the time I already didn't believe in a God as it had been imagined, but my mind has always been open. Today I'm in the same state of mind.
How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience.    It was very short but also very intense. I will never forget it.
Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   I'm sure that there is a different life after death. In any case death is not an end.
My experience directly resulted in:   Slight changes in my life
Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   No   
Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Yes    Through a vision I understood that a loved one was dead. A friend died in a car accident at the same day.
Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     As it was short everything had a special value.
Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes   At the time with my mother. And during all those years 2 or 3 others. They have been listening kindly.
Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   No   
What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   It was too intense and too unexpected for being only a dream. It had nothing to do with all my other dreams.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real    See my previous answer.
Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?      No
Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Uncertain    Of course, following such a dream you have many questions. But until today I still don't want to belong to a religion.
At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   No   
Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?   I wished so much that this experience would reproduce.
Did the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?   Uncertain    Yes and no. My experience is not a part of an NDE.

What could a national organization with an interest in near death experience (NDE) do that would be of interest to you?   It's already great that there is an interest in all those people experiencing these experiences and that's priceless. One has the feeling of being understood. This alone is already great.
 Are there any other questions that we could ask to help you communicate your experience?               For my part there are not only NDEs. There are other cases, similar to mine, when suddenly you find yourself projected somewhere else without needing a brush with death.

DESCRIPTION DE L’EXPERIENCE:

A peu près un an après la mort de mon père, en 1976 ou 1977 je me suis endormie. Je me suis retrouvée à flotter sur des vagues, dans la mer, l'eau était magnifique, d'un bleu merveilleux. Je flottais, bercée par les vagues. C'était des sensations mais mon corps n'était pas là.

Puis, par télépathie, j'ai entendu mon père, je voyais juste son visage, il me disait qu'il allait bien qu'il ne fallait pas s'inquiéter.

Je suis restée là, toujours bercée par ces vagues qui scintillaient et je n'avais plus envie de repartir. A un moment, on m'a demandé si je voulais rester ? j'étais tellement bien mais cette question m'a fait comprendre que ce n'était pas normal et j'ai eu peur. Peur d'avoir compris que je pouvais décider de mourir. Et hop, je me suis réveillée, désorientée mais tellement apaisée.

Le matin, j'en ai parlé à ma mère qui m'a révélé que elle, le soir, elle avait ressentie comme un baiser dans le cou. Elle était sure que c'était mon père.

cette expérience à changer ma vie à tout jamais. Par contre je n'en parlais à personne durant des années. Maintenant je commence à en parler, pourquoi garder ça pour moi alors que c'est si beau.

Les couleurs étaient extraordinaires. Il arrive parfois que je veuille y retourner. En tous cas je n'ai plus peur de la mort car je sais qu'il y a quelque chose après.

Je voulais partager cette épisode de ma vie car dans ce cas précis, il ne s'agit pas d'une EMI à moins que je me sois arrêter de respirer durant la nuit.

Quelles émotions ressentiez-vous pendant l’expérience ?    tout était si tranquille et apaisant.  

Avez-vous traversé un tunnel ?    Non     

Avez-vous vu une lumière surnaturelle ?    Oui     avant de voir le visage de mon père, j'ai d'abord vu une lumière resplendissante que j'ai d'abord prise pour le soleil.

Vous a-t-il semblé rencontrer un être ou une présence ésotérique, ou bien entendre une voix non identifiée ?      J’ai rencontré un être précis, ou une voix clairement d’origine ésotérique ou surnaturelle    la voix qui me demandait si je voulais rester

Avez-vous rencontré ou décelé des êtres décédés (ou en vie) ?    Oui     mon père décédé depuis environ 1 an

Au cours de l’expérience, avez-vous eu connaissance d’évènements de votre passé ?    Non     

Vous a-t-il semblé pénétrer dans un monde différent, surnaturel ?    Un endroit inconnu, étrange     c'était tellement étrange de se trouver dans la mer, d'un seul coup, de se sentir flotter et de ne pas voir son corps

Le temps a-t-il semblé accélérer ou ralentir ?     Tout semblait se passer en même temps, ou le temps s’est arrêté, ou il n’y avait pas de notion de temps    j'ai l'impression que ça n'a durer que 5 ou dix minutes.

Avez-vous soudainement semblé comprendre tout ?   Non   

Avez-vous atteint une limite ou une structure physique de délimitation ?     Indécis(e)    je ne sais pas trop. Il m'a été demandé si je voulais rester.

Avez-vous vu des scènes de l’avenir ?    Non     

Avez-vous  le sentiment d’avoir connaissance d’un savoir ou dessein particulier ?    Non     

Veuillez expliquer tout changement qui aurait eu lieu dans votre vie après votre expérience :   Slight changes in my life    je suis certaine qu'il y a une vie différente après le mort. En tout cas la mort n'est pas une fin.

Après s’être produite, votre expérience a-t-elle provoqué des changements dans vos valeurs ou vos croyances ?    Non     

Après votre expérience, possédiez-vous des facultés paranormales, sortant de l’ordinaire ou autres que vous n’aviez pas avant l’expérience ?    Oui     par une vision, j'ai compris qu'un etre cher était mort. Un copain s'était tuer en voiture le jour meme.

Avez-vous raconté cette expérience à quelqu’un ?    Oui     ma mère à l'époque. Et depuis toutes ces années 2 ou 3. ils m'ont écouté avec bienveillance.

Avant votre expérience, connaissiez-vous les expériences de mort imminente (EMI) ?    Non     

Peu après avoir vécu votre expérience (quelques jours ou semaines), comment considériez-vous sa réalité:    l’expérience était tout à fait réelle     c'était trop intense et trop inattendu pour que ce ne soit qu'un reve. Il n'avait rien à voir avec tous les autres reves.

Vos croyances/pratiques religieuses ont-elles changé directement à cause de votre expérience ?     Indécis(e)    forcément, après un tel reve je me pose beaucoup de questions. Mais à ce jour, je ne veux toujours pas appartenir à une religion.

Au cours de votre vie, est-ce que quoi que ce soit, à un moment quelconque, a reproduit une partie de l’expérience ?    Non   

Les questions posées et les informations que vous venez de fournir décrivent-elles votre expérience complètement et avec exactitude ?     Indécis(e)    oui et non.Mon expérience ne fait partie d'une EMI.

Devrions-nous poser d’autres questions afin de vous aider à exprimer votre expérience ?    Pour moi, il n'y a pas que des EMI. Il y a d'autres cas, comme le mien, ou d'un seul coup on se retrouve projeter ailleurs sans qu'on ai eu à froler la mort.
