Experience description:

I awoke in the middle of the night with a terrible headache (not unusual, as I have temporal arthritis) and in the dark I reached for the elastic headband I put around my head to alleviate the pain (I do this a few times a week) and as I reached for the band, a warm, human hand took mine. I was so terribly frightened! I pulled my hand away and got back under the covers, my mind a total blank (no intelligent thoughts, just fear) and finally managed to get back to sleep.

Some hours later, I awoke and told my wife about the experience. I also emailed a friend about it. At about 11 a.m., I got a phone call from my sister's next door neighbor that she had been found dead. It all fit, even for an atheist like me. It was my sister. I might add that we are identical twins, incredibly close, and although she lived about 800 miles from me, we emailed several times a day and chatted on the phone a few times a week. She was a great writer and an even greater person. There is such a hole in my life, in my heart.
