Just as some background, I have had numerous out of body experiences throughout my life, sleep paralysis many times and when my brother died in 1998 he visited me. I had a vision of him and I distinctly heard his voice outside my right ear and he clearly said "Deb, I'm OK" then he told me that "everything you believe in life after death is true and I'm truly happy".

In 2019 my beloved father passed away. It was obviously traumatic but I knew deep down he wanted to be with mum and he was old and ill so really it was a blessing for him. Mum passed away in 2015. I was very close to dad and stayed the night with him in the hospice room. I was asleep in a bed next to his and he passed half an hour before I woke up.

A few days after I was in bed in the early morning and I had an exceptional vision. In the vision I was running down the white beach where I lived to get to a beach tent where dad was being buried (this was the vision he wasn't eventually buried like this). As I was running the scene turned to what I thought was snow. It was brilliant white and I was in a sort of cavern. As I was running I became aware of some beings. They were all white and humanoid but not human, their faces were quite unusual looking and it is hard to describe. They were also not very tall. One in particular was looking down at me with the biggest smile I've ever seen and was sharing with me great love, I stood still and was looking back at the being with an equally big smile on my face, I was in awe of the being. When I say vision this was probably more like a lucid dream, but it was very very real. I then felt my father go into the light and the being kept looking at me and conveying that dad was fine and happy. We were smiling at each other and when I came fully awake I had the biggest smile on my face. I truly believe I was shown my dad passing into the next dimension.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   No 

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      I was in a lucid dream/vision and totally alert. I remember every detail of this experience even now and I can recall it vividly.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      Normal consciousness and alertness   I was fully aware

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   I am not a visual person and it is hard for me to see visually in my mind, however in this state it was extremely visual.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   There were no sounds

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No  

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Pure joy and happiness. Also love.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   The 'snow' which I now feel was the Light was the brightest and purest I've ever seen.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
There was no voice, just the being and I looking at each other with adoration

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No  

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   Yes   I didn't see dad but I felt him shift to the next realm

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No  

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   A clearly mystical or unearthly realm
I was in a beautiful cavern, it was bright white.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   Everything about the universe
In my previous story I was told everything about the universe and knew all the answers but I wasn't allowed to bring it back. This time I was aware that I was not in the third dimension.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Yes
I wasn't permitted to travel with dad's spirit. I was just brought back to consciousness with this huge smile on my face.

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   No

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   Yes, these beings were there to guide dad and me for our final parting for now. They helped me a lot with my grief.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   I clearly felt another world.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s meaning or purpose?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   Yes   I felt great love.

During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   No  

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   No  

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   I truly believe in life after death because I've had many paranormal experiences in my life and out of body experiences. What I didn't know was beings like this existed. I have never seen any art depicting these beings.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   This event was so vivid that I think about it often.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   This experience confirms to me that we live on and do not part this world alone.

My experience directly resulted in:   Moderate changes in my life

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   No  

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   No  

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     The smile from the being and my smile to it (I cannot say what gender but I felt the being was masculine)

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  I have shared it on my blog. With my family they just think I'm a bit of a nutter.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   Yes   I have been studying NDE's for over 30 years. Read many books, watch many videos and have interviewed people including David D which the video is on YouTube.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   It was so beautiful, peaceful and it felt real.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real  

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No  

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No  

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   No
