This was weird and i Share It here to expand knowledge of such Events. I was healthy and Simply sleeping. My aunt, my Godmother, had recently died but we weren't close before the event and I wasn't emotionally affected by her death. It was natural.  My experience came in a dream. I had gone with her to clear her desk out. She had worked in an office job but hadn't worked there for many years and was long retired. It seemed a symbolic desk clear out. She cleared her stuff while I waited by the door.

We were by the local canal. When she emerged from her office, we were by the canal and the  'tunnel', not that it is a tunnel, just the road goes over. At this point I realized that there was a bright white light in that direction where the bridge was, to my left and that it was like a sort of vortex. Nearby I felt the presence of the non physical forms of my aunt's brother and sister, both dead for years and who I hadn't even thought of. There were also others further away but I didn't know who they were. I went to go with her towards the light, but I was made to understand that I couldn't go that way, I was made to understand that I had to go the other way. It wasn't a verbal communication. I tried to go anyway, no! I was told, you must return in the other direction, back towards town. Still, I tried to disobey. At this point a sudden gust of wind swept me off my feet and I was prostate on the path, hanging on by my fingertips with difficulty. Still, I wanted to go with her, hanging on as hard as I could to go that way.

Then hail arrived. It hit my forearms so hard that it was physically painful...and eventually so painful that I was forced to wake up. My aunt had stayed with her spirit relatives. I've not dreamed of her ever since that night in 2006 and not had a similar dream. I often wonder what caused it. Was it something in my brain, if I hadn't woken. Would I be dead? I'm still trying to understand the experience but it was emotionally intense and life changing.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes     How can I explain beings that are non corporeal? How can I explain the intensity of the hail that hit me?

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      When trying to go towards the light when the wind and hail arrived

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      Normal consciousness and alertness   Iv e never felt wind and hail so painful and powerful.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   I've never felt a presence of beings like that. Can't say vision seemed very different but I've never seen the white light before

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   Hearing was telepathic.. can't remember more than that

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Desire to go into the light. Rejection that I couldn't go that way. No fear at all.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   As described above

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   No

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No  

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   Yes   Long deceased half aunt and uncle. Others I didn't know

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No  

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   No

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   Everything about the universe
Not sure if this was at the time or immediately after, but I felt that I'd seen the other side of death. I felt that I'd gone with the spirit of my aunt on her journey and I felt that I had been given a very special message and opportunity to understand everything beyond.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Yes
I wasn't allowed to go into or even towards the light. I was told it was t my time, that I must go back

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will
I was physically and rather violently repulsed from the light and where I wanted to go.

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   I saw relatives from beyond the boundary and I knew they were that.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   Uncertain   Never thought of that before, but yes... That another universe exists beyond. I'm still processing the nature of that

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   I'd heard of NDE but not really contemplated having one in life

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   Can't remember anything else around that time. This has stuck

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   I've questioned Buddhist and Hindu views but nothing really fits. My current thinking is that we don't understand the nature of the universe and that the dream was to help me come to terms with life and death, it was a message. I don't presume to understand or know what's beyond but I find it hard to dismiss that there's something more. Was it a dream or more? I won't know until I pass through that tunnel. I have more questions than answers.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   Yes   It would seem there is an afterlife, although refitting the scientific half truths is as difficult as proving there is an afterlife. I now think we need to help nature and that we're all connected via a universal network

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Uncertain   I had another dream about a friend who passed away and told me he was ok, had a 'job' welcoming those who were arriving during COVID, but it was a short term job, the centre would soon close and he would move on...

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     The spiritual presences, the light, the painful hail that woke me.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  Can't remember but one of the first people I shared it with said maybe if I hadn't woken up I would have died.
