I had known  Warren from the small Prairie towns were I grew up in the fifties.  We did the usual teenage stuff like dancing, partying, etc.  Then my family moved to another province and of course I moved  with them.  I lost contact with Warren ..Got married to some else. Time went on and I had two kids .. In 1980 while visiting a relative, she said that she had heard Warren had  been killed in a car  crash.. I felt very sad.. I couldn't believe it was true .. but did get over it in some time

Then years later, one night my granddaughter, who was nine yrs old at the time, was staying over for a visit.  She slept with me and her grandfather in the guest  room.  We would  talk and it was cozy in there.. We finally went to sleep. I was on my side and woke up as my granddaughter was frantically poking my back, saying "gram-ma wake up, please gram ma wake up!  I am so scared,,,there's a man in here."  I looked up and saw  an imaging fading. I asked her to describe the man.  She said it was a very tall man in a checkered shirt and blue jeans with a dark blue  baseball cap on.  I couldn't figure it out ,,Some time had gone by and one day I was on the computer.  I noticed in the obituaries that my friend's parents had died. I found out where his sister was and wrote to her to give my condolences to the family.  I found out that Warren had not been killed in a accident, but died 12 years later from a brain tumor - just about 6 months before the image of a man appeared in the bedroom .. She also sent photo  of Warren  standing in a checkered shirt , blue jeans and a dark blue base ball cap ...

The next time I saw my grand daughter she confirmed that he was the man she had seen that night..
