Experience description:

My husband was in a coma state but I felt he could hear me. I told him it was okay to leave this was not living for him and the next morning he had passed. I knew as soon as I turned on the light that he had passed. I had the thought I wonder if I should have turned his oxygen up and I heard immediately 'then you would have worried about that' I know without a doubt it was my husband and it is something he would have said.

 Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased? Yes

            Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:          I had the thought should I have turned up the oxygen and I heard 'then you would have worried about that'

            Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?    sort of both inside and outside, more like in my ear

            If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?     similar and dissimilar but I knew without a doubt it was my husband

            Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience? not at all

            Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience?          no

 Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?      No

 Did you see the deceased?       No

 Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?   No

 How long did the experience last?      seconds

 Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?          sudden

 Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?   No

 Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  no

 How do you currently view the reality of your experience? Experience was definitely real

            Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:     I just know it was real

            Was the experience dream like in any way?           No    

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience: of course I was upset to see that my husband had passed and wondered if I should have turned up his oxygen but a part of me was relieved that he was no longer suffering

 knowing he was no longer suffering brought me peace

 What was the best and worst part of your experience? just knowing there is something better after this life is always the best part

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?         Yes    I have known for a very long time that there is life after death and his communicating just reinforces that belief

What emotions did you feel during the experience?           mixture of sadness and relief
