Experience description:

I was sleeping and my deceased friend called me on what I interpreted as a phone. I say interpreted it as a phone call because it also seemed as if he was talking somehow into my thoughts. I first heard his voice talking (I don't know what he was saying) as the dream started. I broke in and said 'You're dead.' He then replied 'I'm dead.....I died.' He said it very clearly in the same conversational tone he used in life. His voice sounded surprised and resigned at the same time, but I did not detect any sadness. He kept talking after in the rambling voice he had in life, but I shut down and stopped listening, I guess due to the shocking realization that I was speaking with the dead.  I regret I could not control my brain enough to keep listening. When I woke up, the conversation instantly came into my head. I knew it was real and the experience has stayed with me like no dream I've ever had.

I was given Katamine during surgery and left my body. I saw and heard the three doctors (there were two when put under) and then left and went to a room with a big door and bright light. I thought I might have died but did not know. I decided to stay away from the light because I felt like I would not come back if I went into it. When I woke up, all the docs were staring at me and asked what happened.
