Experience description:

I was sleeping, but felt very lucid about the environment I was in, the position of my body on the bed, the warmth of the summer night, and the cool breeze that was coming through an open window. I was sleeping face down, In this state, it seemed as if the breeze began to whirl on my back, as if it was produced from a fan nearby. I felt a slight pressure on my back - it seemed as if I shouldn't or couldn't turn around to see the presence- a deeply loving presence. I felt around with my left hand and touched a frail hand, the hand of a woman ' Mom is it you?' I asked and got no response. I then began to feel kisses and a gentle touch all over my right side. ' I love you, I love you!' I said . 'Me, too!' came the response with some effort. 'Are you well?  Are you well?' 'yes' she answered and gently withdrew. It seemed as though I woke up through the experience and was fully awake when she was gone.

 Degree of bereavement for deceased immediately prior to the experience:    Slight sadness and/or grief feelings

 Degree of alertness immediately prior to experience:        Asleep

 After your experience, did you consider the contents of your experience:      Wonderful

 Have you had multiple experiences?   Yes     Two experiences, will refer to one.

 Was this experience difficult to express in words? No

 Did you ONLY sense an awareness of presence of the deceased without actually seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling them?       No

 Did you hear the deceased or hear something associated with the deceased?         Yes

             Describe what you heard, how clearly you heard it and what was communicated:            Sound came across with difficult. I heard 'Me, too' and 'Yes' as described

             Did the voice or sound seem to originate externally or outside of you, inside you, or did you not hear a voice or sound, but had a sense of knowing what was communicated?            I am not sure. It seemed to originate externally.

             If you heard a voice or sound, was it similar or dissimilar from the voice or sound the deceased made when they were alive?           Very similar.

             Is there any possibility what you heard was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?          No.

             Was there any possible impairment to your hearing at the time of the experience? Yes, but it is irrelevant.

 Did you feel a touch or experience any physical contact from the deceased?           Yes

 Along the right side of my body.

            Was the touch familiar or unfamiliar?  Very familiar, and so were the kisses that I felt.

             Was anything communicated by the touch? Deep love.

            Is there any possibility what you felt was from any other source present in the surroundings at the time of your experience?          No.

 Did you see the deceased?        No

 Did you smell a distinct smell, scent, fragrance or odor associated with the deceased?   No

 How long did the experience last?       About a minute or so.

 Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?        Gradual.

 Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?           Yes

 She seemed to be there to comfort me and communicate her well-being, and her love.

 Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know? No.

 How do you currently view the reality of your experience?          Experience was probably real

             Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:         It was an extremely lucid experience which did not feel like a dream, and it did not come at a moment of great need for reassurance. If my mind made it up, It doesn't make sense that it didn't at the time that I was deeply grieving.

             Was the experience dream like in any way?  No

 Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:          Loved.

 Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience?          Yes

 It felt great to feel that my mother exists in another dimension, and that I am capable of communicating with higher realms.

 What was the best and worst part of your experience?     Everything about it was wonderful. It felt great to feel my mother's presence again.

 Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?       No      

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?  Yes     A greater belief.

 Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?   Yes     Another indication that there is a spiritual dimension to life.

 Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact? No

 Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?    No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?           Deep gratitude.

 Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?           No

 Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  No

 Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?   No

 Did you become aware of future events?       No

 Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?     No

 Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?           Uncertain

 I may be predisposed to the idea that an uncle who had done a lot of esoteric work while alive might have been helping.

 Did you see a light?          No

 Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?          No

 Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     They were comforted as I was.
