After my son's passing I noticed one day a hand print in the dust on a side table I had dedicated to him with a small urn with is ashes and a photo of his daughter, my granddaughter. I was surprised because I did not cause this and nobody else had been in my apartment recently. It was clearly a human hand print in the dust. I left it there and the next day the print had moved about an inch closer to the photograph. Amazed, I simply left it alone. The third day it had moved again, this time right up to the photo and the fingers had elongated. There were also 4 long straight lines leading from the back of the photo off to the side of the table all the way to the edge. Nothing had been done to this table in 3 days. And it would be impossible to clean it off and have it re-dust every day and a different print put down. The prints are all clear and distinctly different in location so it was not dust blowing or from any other atmospheric cause. The whole series of events are simply impossible by any known causality that science can test. But, they were as real as you can get and I have photographs to prove it.

How long did the experience last?      3 days, although in subsequent days, weeks and months several other hand prints appeared in various locations around the apartment

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?       It occurred over a 3 day period with the hand print changing position and structure every day.  After that, the other appearances were random and unrelated the first

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?          Uncertain

My first thought was it had to be Garett since the photo of his daughter was where the fingers reached and his urn with ashes was only a few inches away

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?  no

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?          Experience was definitely real

          Please explain why you view the reality of your experience as real or not real:   You can't photograph an illusion and I have multiple photos over a period of time

What did you feel (while awake) immediately prior to your experience? Relaxed         

Describe in detail your feelings/emotions during the experience:  surprise and curiosity mixed with some confusion as to how this could occur

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience? Yes

It confirmed that my son was still communicating with me and that he cared about the welfare of his daughter

What was the best and worst part of your experience?          Comforting confirmation was the best part.  The worst part is I suppose I can't be 100% sure it was my son.  I certainly know it happened for real, but can't be totally certain who was responsible.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? Yes                Describe:     yes, I view death as simply a transition in the midst of living and that after physical death on earth we simply pass to another dimension of time and space that is not governed by our laws of physics

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?      Yes    that communication from passed persons is indeed a fact

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?         Yes    the understanding that once passed from the incarnation on earth, we are spiritual beings with the ability to see and communicate with people still living on earth.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?    Yes

I promised my therapist I would cause the playing of a certain classical music piece as a hello from me

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Uncertain I can verify the event with photographs but I didn't actually hear anything audibly from anyone

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Once I thought through what was likely the cause, I felt happy and grateful

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?          No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  No

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?         Yes

I believe my son's purpose was to assure that he was fine and in touch with the earthly world.  Also, I felt he was encouraging me to develop a meaningful relationship with my granddaughter and care for her.

Did you become aware of future events?      No

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?      No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?   No

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?   No

Did you see a light?        No

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?     No

Have you shared this experience with others?      

Yes    It has been universally accepted as amazing and interesting and believable.  The photos are real and there is simply no way for this to have happened by any other means.  I'm not sure if that translated for them into any change of their own views although some already believed communication from passed persons was possible.

Have you shared this experience formally or informally with any other researcher or web site?         No

 Is there anything else you would like to add regarding your experience?   This was totally unsolicited or provoked in any way by expectations on my part.  I had no thought whatsoever that such a thing could or would happen.
