Experience description:

My father and mother were living in an assisted living facility for 1 week after moving from their home.  Both were 83 years old.  My father had had a stroke with moderate residual effects to his left arm and leg, but was still able to ambulate.  He was on O2 for emphysema. I had visited them the night before he passed away and my experience, and when I left he made the comment to come back and see them in a day or so.  I had no reason to suspect he would pass away that night.  Sometime during the night, I had several very pleasant what I call 'vignette' dreams or 'dream scene episodes' of things he and I had done together, like camping or fishing trips.  These were very pleasing, and enjoyable, and I awoke the next morning smiling and telling my wife of these 2 or 3 episodes in the dream.

About an hour later, my phone rang with a call from the assisted living center when they told me my father had passed away during the night.

I felt that, somehow, my father's consciousness had passed thru mine, with a message something like 'thanks for the memories'.  I had no other similar experiences before or after he passed away.
