I was on a camping trip, down by the Columbia River. I was asleep, and was awoken, around 5 in the morning. I was on my back, looking straight up at the ceiling and noticed I couldn't move. But, I wasn't scared at all. Suddenly,  a bright orb of light came down, through the ceiling and flew into my chest. My vision was filled with the brightest, whitest light I have ever seen, but it didn't bother me. As soon as the orb entered my chest, I knew it was my grandmother Cecilia, she was speaking to me, inside my mind. She came to tell me goodbye, and to tell me everything was going to be all right, and she loved me. Then she shot back out of my chest, and back up through the ceiling, and I could move again. I woke my boyfriend up, and told him, my Grandma just died. And he laughed and said, no, go back to sleep it was just a dream. Later that morning about, around 8 in the morning, my brother in law, came and found where we were camping, and told me my grandma had died early that morning, and I said yeah I already knew.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?         When she entered my chest and we were in the light, it felt more real then my real life.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   It is hard to explain. Especially, because i actully didnt use any of my normal senses, like speaking, through my mouth. And when i was in the light I wasn't using my eyes, to see. But I could see.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   I was calm, and filled with awe. Amazed! It was comforting, and I did not have and distress.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   My grandmother, or her soul, or whatever you want to call it, her life force, in the shape of a ball of white energy.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
It was my grandmothers spirit

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   I have always believed in God, he used to speak to me when I was a very small child. I had no doubt about God. What happened after we died, I ws uncertain. After this, I have no doubt.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of th   I remember like it happened this morning.

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?   I was reading through your website, and someone with the last name Neale, I believe had almost the same experience. I decided to share, because I have never heard or read of anyone, having a similar experience. It just validated , my experience even more, and I am hoping that me sharing my story, may validate someone else's experience.
