My mother's spirit bypassed opening my laptop, by passed my laptop password, and turned on our TV to show my screensaver of my family on our TV ( via hdmi cable connecting the laptop to the TV.

Have you had multiple experiences?   Yes    Our laptop must be opened and a password typed to get to the open screen where my screensaver is a photo of my family. I have the laptop connected by an hdmi cable to our TV. We always shut off everything at night. At about 3am I went to go get some water from our kitchen. I have to walk through our living room to get to the kitchen. As I did so I noticed how dim the room was and how curled up and sleeping our cat was on the couch. I got the water but then the weird feeling like I was being watched struck me suddenly and uneasy. As I turned back to go through the living room, the TV was on. It was the screensaver of my family photo. The laptop was closed. Our cat,  who was curled up in a deep cat coma was now standing with his hackles up looking at the TV. So...my assessment was: my moms spirit bypassed opening the laptop, by passed my password to get to the home page where my screensaver of my family shows. And she turned on the TV. I was so frightened I ran upstairs as fast as i could because i also felt her presence. She promised me that when she passed she would give me a sign. I bet knowing her sense if humor...she was laughing at my fear and how fast I made it to the top of the stairs, 'round the corner....and jumped into bed pulling the covers over my head.

How long did the experience last?      I would say a few minutes before I freaked out and ran upstairs.

Was the beginning and end of the experience gradual or more sudden?      Sudden and blunt.

Could you sense the emotions or mood of the deceased?          No

Did the deceased give you information you did not previously know?          I think that the screensaver showing my family was significant. My children and I have been through some trauma so I think my deceased mother was trying to send me a message.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience?          Experience was definitely real

Was there any emotional healing in any way following the experience? Yes

The screensaver of my family. It means a lot to me.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?     The best part was my mom kept her promise, was capable of doing something I wouldn't miss or question. And that she was finally able to communicate after such a long goodbye from Alzheimer's stealing her of the ability to communicate.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? No     

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience? Yes    Something actually happened! I believe in it all but with a lot of skepticism.

Did the experience give you any spiritual understandings such as life, death, afterlife, God, etc.?         Uncertain          Since the experience...other things have been happening. Some things scare me. Other things feel like she is trying to send a message/communicate.

Death Compacts are when two or more living people promise among themselves that whoever dies first will try to contact the other(s).  Have you ever made such a compact?         Yes

Mom promised she would do something to let me know after she passed, that there is an afterlife. I requested that it she go bold in her 'showing or communicating' due to my slight skepticism.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?         Yes I felt like I was being watched intently. And having witness the cat change from curled up and sleep to freaking out at the tv....yes these verify.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Fear. Dread. That what happened was impossible.

Was the experience witnessed or experienced by others?          Yes

The cat. He was curledup asleep one moment and then standing with his hackles when the incident occurred

I have been dreaming of my mother. She is active in the dream. Unlike previous dreams of her in a staye of alzheimers.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?  No

Did you meet or see any other beings other than the deceased?   Yes

Since this incident...I cannot get away from sparkles, orbs, shadows, feeling stared at from somewhere, incohetent voices,and sounds that come from nowhere.

Did you see a light?        Yes

I see sparklies. I see isolated light shifts, I see shadows....etc

Did any part of your experience seem to occur in a place other than the location described above?     Yes

Everywhere i go in my home.

Yes    Skeptics turned to consideration of afterlife
